on 3rd March 2010 I phoned AJM Joinery and spoke to Kevin Sweeney, I explained that my Chirporactor had told me that the repetative strain injury to my right wrist ws due to my office desk and so I needed a new one building.
Kevin Sweeney (KS) came to my home to give me an estimate for the work, I categorically told him that I wanted three computer work stations made from oak wood and that none of these should be made too heavy so that they had to be fixed to the wall, and that all 3 units were required to be lightweight enough to move on castors and of a quality suitable to be put into my lounge based office in the main living room of my home opposite an expensive Italian Dining Suite with a mirror finish. I wanted the units French Polished.
This man delivered tatty units that he said would not be safe to use unless screwed to the wall and no mirror finhish, nails sticking out of the wood, holes in the backing, taped over with white perforated tape, no edging and made from Oak MDF with no finishing strips on and wood splintering and hanging off at the edges and corners with glue oozing out of the wood, bad joins wrong sided nails and screws not sheer with the surface and basically too hideoous for use in my intended workspace, not fit for purpose and complete rubbish.
He demanded 900 for these units, delivered only half of them and when I refused to pay he refused to deliver the rest of them, told me he would trash my car and 'had other ways of getting my money off me' he then commenced to stalking my home until I had to call the police.
The police advised him to use the courts as opposed to taking the law into his own hands, so he had the audacity to take me to court, tell a pack of lies and he sadly won and now I have to pay his court costs on top. The local newspaper have seen photos of these hideous units and they are viewable on my Facebook profile at:

The newspaper cannot believe the case went against me and have stopped him from advertising.
I want to warn others not to deal with this man, he is a bully who seems to have made a career out of ripping others off, he was far too polished in court, clearly he had done this before. I fear fro elderly residents in the West Lancshire and Merseyside areas of the UK where this man operates. He is intimidating and a bully.

he has crew cut hair and a very broad Irish accent. Claims to have been a
time served joiner with a company in Dublin, Ireland UK.

This man lied in court, he destroyed the rest of the units I had paid for and the units he delivered as you can see by the photos supplied were a total disgrace and NOT fit for purpose.
He attacked my daughter and I and threatened us, then he saw fit to stalk our home in a threatening and intimidating manner, and we had to call the police to have him removed from our home and told to stay away from us. To try and weaken our case against him he then see's fit to take me to court because quite rightfully I refused to pay for units that were not fit for purpose.
Sadly our Barrister was not in full receipt of all of the facts of the case and so she was useless in court and this man exploited the ignorance of the Judge as a result and succeeded in winning a case that my lawyer said was water tight.
Justice was NOT done.
Sweeney lies when he states that the pictures were NOT of the units he delivered, because they ARE the same units he delivered, so not only is this man a dangerous and violent rogue trader but he is also an outright liar who should be stopped from trading and locked away where he can be stopped from abusing other people in the same way as he abused us.
I asked a van driver to try and collect units he lied to the judge and said he still had and which we could still collect, because he had already destroyed them, and the only reason we asked to collect them was to show the remaining units to the local newspaper who wanted to publish as story on them.
He clearly didn't want us to be in receipt of the full evidence of the case. I had witnesses who came with me to court and they will testify that it was us who told the truth in court not Sweeney so again he lies.
This man rattled on so much in court that by the time we had a chance to put our side of the story across the judge said we had run out of time, so we had no chance of properly defending the case against this man. He had clearly done this before because he had law books in his briefcase and he seemed well rehearsed, proving that he is nothing more than a lying con man who has plenty of practice in ripping off and abusing customers.
I doubt we are the only customer he has had this sort of run in with. Again he lies. Please steer well clear of this rogue he is dangerous and a complete rip off. Even our barrister said that she thought he was mentally unsound and shady.

I have just read your report filed from the above person, Karen Stevens.
I am absolutely horrified that you would let anybody make such claims without even checking the basic facts.
1. I took this lady to Court for non payment. The Judge found in my favour and Karen Stevens was found to have lied repeatedly to the Court.
2. The Newspaper has not stopped me from advertising.
3. The pictures she has are not the units I delivered.
4. She says the units are not fit for purpose and complete rubbish, yet I have a letter from her Solicitor asking for the rest of the units and she was willing to send a driver and van to collect them. This was after the Court Case. She was willing to go to quite a bit of expense for complete rubbish!!!
5. I made no threats whatsoever to this lady. If I did, I am sure I would have been arrested. I would never get involved in that sort of behaviour.
6. This is the first customer I have ever in my entire life had to take to Court. I have never had a complaint about my work before, EVER, and I have NEVER ripped anyone off.
This article is complete false and I will have to consider my options.
