My mother was looking for a home to rent, preferably rent to own when we came across an advertisement, more like a listing on Craigslist. It seemed reliable enough, it even had warnings about falling for scams included. Funny how now that we are here, it's them that are running the scam.

In none of the emails, text messages not even in a face to face meeting where we gave Khos our deposit did he say that the deposit would be non-refundable if we were approved. After running our application and credit he comes back to say that he needed to increase our rent and the deposit, that's not what we were led to believe in his ads or through the emails. We decided against going with him. What does he do? He got very angry and continued to tell me that we complained too much and because of that our deposit had increased again, and that we were not getting our deposit back because he got us approved. He stated for us to check our payment reciept that he filled in information after she signed it. He just called and went all over the place, yelling, cursing and threatening me. And yes, I recorded this phone call.
