I bought a 2003 Sedona a year ago. Two days after taking it home, the compressor quit working. There was knocking and the air conditioner light went off. They took over a week to fix it leaving me without a vehicle. They didn't want to pay for a rental.

After they said they fixed the problem, the air never blew real cold again. Then the airbag light came on. The arm rests broke on both chairs. The cup holder wouldn't lock to hold the cup. The raido started getting a great deal of static in it. When you used power locks, windows, etc. the radio would make a noise.

You could not listen to the radio and charge your phone at the same time. The noise was incredible. When I called the service department they told me to bring it in but they did not know how long it would take to fix it. I told them I wasn't able to leave my car indefinitely and rent a vehicle. The man told me that I had until my 100,000 miles was up to get it fixed under the warranty.

I decided I'd wait until the summer. I drive 3000 miles a month so it wasn't going to take me long to reach that mark. In the meantime, one of my tires blew at the 15,000 mile marker. It exploded beyond repair. The cruise control stopped working and the lights on the dash intermittently shut off and on. When I was at approximately 80,000 miles I took the car in.

I spoke with the service person, gave them my list, told him that I wanted to get it don't before the 100,000 mile mark so that it was covered by the warranty. He asked me how many miles were on my car so he was well aware of the mileage. Then he proceeded to sell me a service job that cost me $900.00. He said that if it wasn't done, it would annul my 100,000 mile warranty. I agreed to it and left him the car.

Several hours later, he called me and informed me that I would have to pay 1700.00 to have these things fixed. He said that my warranty ran out at 35,000 miles for these repairs. I was indignant and he was disrespectful. I asked to speak to the manager who was beligerent and equally disrespectful. I told them not to do anything to my car. He informed me that they had aready done the $900.00 job. He said that since I authorized it, it was done. I told them I was picking up my car and not to do anything else. It turned out that I was unable to pick up my car until the next day.

When I finally picked up my car, they we just finishing the $900.00 job. The man had lied to me. When I picked up my car, the air did not work at all. I tried to get an air man to do it, but he said that there was nothing wrong with the air conditioning. He said it was electrical. No other mechanic would touch it. I ended up paying KIA an additional 2,000.00 to fix the problem and the car still doesn't work.

I wish I could sue them. I don't advise anyone to buy a KIA. I know that they cater to those who are in desperate need and have credit issues, but it is not worth it.
