I too love my Kias!

AUTHOR: Elaine - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, August 15, 2006

I bought my first Kia, a Sportage, in 1995. It ran great, I loved it. However, when I moved to a cold climate from the desert southwest, it didn't love the minus zero temperatures. I bought a new Kia Sportage in 1997, and it was a dream. I got tired of paying a state premium for licensing an SUV instead of a car ($500/year extra!) so I traded the SUV in 1999 for a Kia Sephia.

It's got nearly 100,000 miles on it and has had only routine maintenance on it. I've had a few flat tires, but overall, this Kia will take a licking and keep on ticking. My husband, who is an anti-Korean car fanatic is amazed that I am getting such good performance...and is looking differently at them.

I plan on driving this car until the wheels fall off, and then when a new car is in my future I may consider another Kia...or a Honda Fit or a Scion. There are lemons in every car make/manufacturer. The original poster sounds like someone upset with an individual of the company rather than the car itself.

Love my Kia!

AUTHOR: Pat - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, August 15, 2006

Just wanted to say that I bought my Kia Spectra LS
in 2003, and have not had any real problems with it.
The only things I replaced are a tire (my fault)and a battery.
I liked the survey they sent out after my purchase, asking for my opinion and for any suggestions. I mentioned that I had hit my head on the trunk lid.
I don't have a lot of mileage on it, but I know 3 or 4 other people who love their Kia's too.
Just my .02 worth.
Pat
