My 2001 KIA Sportage has left me breathless...LITTERALLY!! Besides KIA's worldwide reputation for having the worst possible service...they also managed to make the most UNSAFE vehicle avaiable. At least KIA is CONSISTANT!!!
I have been to 14 dealerships accross America and was managed to here the same words uttered in several different accents..."I am sorry ma'am, we cannot seem to duplicate the problem." Now thats MAN working through his corporate diciples.
However, the toxic order that has been pouring into my car since I bought it remains. I have so many stories now about hard core saftey issues with Sportages and negligence from KIA dealerships and KIA Corporate, I am worndering why there is not a class action suit going on. I am not in favor of sueing. Especially in a climate where folks use it as a means of income. However, KIA SUCKS and I personally have spent thousands on renatal cars and hotels while my car was being peered at. I would love to actively join a few to bring a few things to thier attention...like the condition of lungs and the dent in my checkbook...oh yea and the F___KING hours and hours spent waiting for them to do NOTHING.
I did not mention all the other malidies, as the seem frivilous compared to the wheezing my dog now lives with.
Contact me if you have thoughts or want to make some noise with KIA...I am down. I happen to have a lawyer handy in the family who will work for free. Apparently individuals are getting no where.

i have been a mechanic for 19 years and before medical problems i worked on jaguar rolls royce vehicles.kia is a major step downwards.the cars are poorly built.
as i technician i was disgusted at the complete lack of information on kia i need to fix your car.the factory pays very little for a tech to diagnose it correctly.i have spent hours diagnosing a kia only not to be paid at all for finding the problem.ive seen techs write no fault found could not duplicate on repair orders without coming within 10 feet of the car.we are paid 1 hour to do a 4 hour job.
so the will to fix these cars is gone as of a few days ago i stopped going to work because i cannot make enough money working on these vehicles.
when we call kias technical assistance we are told when you find the problem let us know what it is cause we have no clue.the factory training is a joke.the manuals are ridiculous and we are ripped off by kia over pay.
if you find a dealership who actually fixes your car let everyone know because its a rare thing.
