This Kennel of " 70 brood bitches " as I found out later , just Dobermans sold a puppy to us as Show quality for $2300.00 and when it got here he only had one t******e and white on his chest. I returned the puppy at my expense ( another $300.00 ) and they sent a replacement puppy with a digestive disorder that they know the sire also has ! I called them to tell them about it and they knew what dog was the sire before I said ! I am stuck with a lifetime commitment to a sickly dog and it is running into thousands of dollars to keep him as healthy as possible ! They don't care, all I can talk to is the employees ! The attitude is "it's just too bad for me".

This is a puppy mill , rip off if there ever was one ! I am out $2600.00 and still don't have the show quality puppy I paid for ! You can buy from this place if you dare but be ready for a screwing !

My Experience with Kimbertal Kennel

AUTHOR: say - (USA)

POSTED: Friday, January 15, 2016

It is true that a pup with more than 1/4" of white on its chest and one t******e is not showable, and I understand that Kimbertal replaced the pup for you. You report your new puppy had a hereditary digestive disease that the sire suffered from as well. Not withstanding your alleged inability to speak with someone other than "an employee", I have no doubt Kimbertal would have replaced that pup as well as long as he had not been altered, you are the original owner, his registration papers had not expired and his ears were standing.

I state this with the assurance of a very satisfied customer and owner/former owner of 4 doberman puppies from Kimbertal.

I lost my first Kimbertal doberman to Wobblers at 8 yrs of age, a condition that cannot be foreseen and can be caused by such an inconsequential thing as running into a tree.

My second doberman is now 11 1/2 yrs old and still very happy and healthy (2 1/2 yrs past her life expectancy). She is my beloved baby and as a young dobe was one of the most beautiful dobermans I have ever beheld.

Now here is where I have had my experience with Kimbertal's replacement policy. My third doberman was the sweetest, most loveable doberman I have ever met; however he had a prominent ocipital bone, and I needed one that could be shown and/or bred. I cried like a baby when I returned him to Kimbertal. Although puzzled that I could let go of a pup I loved so very much, they replaced him for me without question. No questions, no problems, no judgement, just excellent customer service. I left there with a broken heart, but because their dogs are, rightly so, priced high, I could not have bought another more showable pup and kept the original one, too.

My fourth Kimbertal pup I named Treason, he had a fear of thunderstorms that prevented me from keeping him (for I had another male dog inside already). I have no doubt Kimbertal would have replaced him as well. Instead, I found him a loving home with a Knox. County Sheriff Deputy where he lived very well inside where he felt safe during storms. He was also lucky enough to have a hugh back yard with a privacy fence for running and became very sociably active with other dobermans his new "mother" introduced him to. I had the opportunity to ensure this wonderful doberman had a great home like he deserved, and I chose to rehome him instead of returning him.

I have been in the kennels and, believe me, they are no puppy mill. Each pup is whelped in the home of the dame's family, and once they are old enough to be placed in their own forever homes, they are expertly taken care of by caring staff with the pups' best interest in mind at all times. My experience with Kimbertal has been excellent with no friction or disagreements. No doubt, I would have at least one more Kimbertal if I did not now suffer from debilitating arthritis and fear I would be unable to provide the necessary training and affection needed by a large doberman puppy.

First of all Kimbertal has maybe 70 breeder females out in homes with their breeder family, at any given time.  We do not have any puppies born here at the kennel.  By doing the breeders program we can make sure the females we select for breeding have a good temperament, suitable for a home situation.  Since our puppies go to their families at 10 weeks, many of these females are not even old enough to be bred, but are part of the 70 count.  The local families take the pups on a one litter contract and then they own the mother who they raised after they turn in the litter.  Our pups are born and raised in homes, socialized, and we take care of all vet care on mom and babies.  We only breed the females once and then they do not belong to us.

Secondly, $2300 is not a show price and we really do not sell show quality since our puppies usually are too large for the American breed ring, even though I can name one international champion from Kimbertal.  We do have dogs competing in SchH, flyball, agility, obedience as well as TDI, customs dogs, service dogs, etc.  I have personally told more than one novice to search out a breeder local to them if they want to get into showing so that they have a mentor.

I am unaware of a stud with a digestion problem... Did you have a dog die of bloat?  No stud here has died of bloat since we started feeding wet food 20 years ago but if it was a hereditary problem let us know.  If this case was not resolved let us know and we will review it because despite what your letter claims we consider our customers number one.   Anne
