Kimkins.com is a diet website that is a scam. It is the brainchild of Heidi Diaz, who is known as "Kimmer" online. She claims to have lost 200 pounds in 7 months using a low fat, low carb, low calorie diet plan that she devised. No one argues whether or not the plan is effective. It's no trick to lose weight on less than 1000 calories a day, which is what she recommends.

The problem with it is that this site is based on a lie. Heidi never lost weight. Although her site has now been sanitized, it once bore elaborate but false "success" stories complete with before and after photos that were stolen from other websites.

Additionally, issues have risen about the healthfulness of the plan. People suffer from severe constipation, lose hair, and some have had heart problems. When you follow the plan the way Kimmer tells you to, it amounts to Atkins meets anorexia. People have developed full blown eating disorders following this plan.

It costs $59.95 to become a member of Kimkins.com. This is supposedly for a "lifetime" membership. Although their current terms of service now state that membership does not guarantee you access to the full site, many people signed up under a different TOS that did not include that clause. This did not stop Kimmer from banning people from the website, even though they had paid for a lifetime membership. It's classic bait and switch. Do not fall for this woman's scam! There are plenty of free websites you can join and have access to the same information and support available on Kimkins.com. Save your money and join a free site.
