I answered a promotional on a rental for a water softener system. when representative on kinetico arrived and tested our water, the result was a 20. Representative told us that the Las Vegas water was polluted and actual maximum ever done on bad water was a 10. We told the representative many times that 1. we were only renting the home, and seeking to rent a system and 2. we intended to move back East within a year or 1 1/2 yrs.

We sign a contract but did not verify any writing as we thought I was dealing with a legitimate company. Also did not know that 1/2" above the rental agreement box was the buying box that month's later found out was really checked off. Also did not realize Kinetico sold this contract to GE Money Bank.

A few month's later we received a arrears of payment from GE Money Bank even though we keep one (1) month ahead of our bill payments. Upon calling GE Money Bank, we then found out that monies for the principle was being applied at the back end and we were buying water system.

I have called Kinetico / GE Money Bank, also wrote a letter as to what is stated above but to this date, 01/01/09 never received any response from the Kinetico, las Vegas office to resolve the issues. My assumption is: since Kinetico sold the contract to GE Money Bank, why should they attempt to resolve what I feel is fraud and deceptive practice.

Presently contacting the Attorney General's Office, bureau of consumer affairs as a complaint.

Our Paper Work is Correct for a Sales Contract

AUTHOR: Kinetico Quality Water - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, February 16, 2009

Anthony signed three seperate documents at the time of purchase that explained that this was a sale. The first one was a Work order Contract that states that he paid a $300.00 deposit and the balance would be Finaced. The secound was a loan application for G.E. finace. The third was a Sales slip to G.E. Finace that clearly states that it is for a In-Home slaes transaction. At the time of install, 5 days after the contract was signed Anthony signed a Completion Certificate that states he is happy with the installation of his purcase. Rental is not mentioned one time on any of these documents so I can not understand how Anthony could have signed all of these papers and not known he was purchasing his system.

We are sorry that Anthony has had a change of heart about his purchas but believe he knew what he was doing when he signed all of these documents.
