I hired this company for modeling management. At first I was told to pay a start up fee + 3 payments each month. I was told I would get promotional services, website, free photo shoots with the in house photographer (Dee Harris) as well as bookings for work. I paid $500 for a photo shoot with Dee Harris who also goes by Icebox Studios. He never edited my photos because they weren't "good enough. Not only did I already pay $500+ to travel to Miami to take the photos plus hair, make up & clothing, I had to travel back he said to "re do" the shoot. When I got back he made excuses as to why he was "too busy" to shoot me. Then King (the manager) says I need to pay for a website. I pay $500 for the website. He never sets the site up for me "because I have no good pics" so he sets up a photoshoot which I pay for & pay all travel expenses to get to. Has me over pay because I find out the photographer is cheaper. However I do receive those photos.

Next he tells me they are "transitioning" the company to be called "The 9 Firm" where each model is required to pay $250 a month & receive free photo shoots, but has me pay $233 to set up a shoot in Ohio. I paid that & my $250 never got to do the shoot. Then says I need outfits, but he & dee are picking them out. I have to pay $150 for the clothes which I don't receive for a month after paying then it's missing items. At this point they are asking for another "$250" monthly fee" I ignore the texts & smarten up & start talking to other models who to haven't received work or photos. 9 months have passed where I haven't been booked for shows or events & they blame it all on me. I also find out that not everyone had been paying fees. I decide to quit. Once I quit king slanders my name on social media & tells people "I was never fit for modeling & I never got anywhere because I don't look like my photos & sleep with photographers" which is all untrue. On top of this I paid for my own company I owned & started before them & Dee Harris "redid" the website for me. He takes my company's website down that I PAID him to re-do. Customers have been emailing me for product but the site is no longer up so now I have to re-do that & who knows how many other sales I have lost.

I just want people & models to be warned they are not to be trusted & not what they seem. In the last 3 weeks since I have been unaffiliated with King Davis, Dee Harris & The 9 Firm I have revived more promotional modeling work, photo shoots & video shoots than my time with them in 9 months & I honestly think they were just not telling me about job offers in main box because they did not give me access & always told me no when I asked about something.

In the rebuttal King mentioned above, he completely lied. I won't go on & on to point out every detail because there's no point. He knows he's a scam as well as 7+ other models who has left his company. He changed the company name to even try & save face. No matter what he says, there's no way he can have an "explanation" of why he took everyone's money or didn't give back their photos or never paid them for the little jobs he did send out. He posts half text messages & re-put up my company site just to post on this website. But this is the reason I stayed with his company as long as I did. He is very good with words & manipulative. He should probably use the money he scans women out of to take up law classes & become a lawyer because he sounds so convincing & believable, but even the devil can quote bible verses!

Full Explanation to what occurred.

AUTHOR: The 9 Firm - (USA)

POSTED: Wednesday, October 14, 2015

Julie Hamilton, aka Rarest Jewels, was initially booked for a Miami photo shoot. Prior to the photo shoot, we spent 2 to 3 hours speaking with Julie about her career. She expressed the hardship about the industry and we were trying to piece it all together. We spend time expressing to Julie how beautiful she was and why we didn’t understand why she wasn’t having the success that she should. She expressed to us that the photographers in the industry wasn’t taking her seriously. At the time of her photo shoot, we noticed a major bodily flaw and expressed to Jewels that this was most likely the reason why she wasn’t getting the notoriety that she needed. Moments after the shoot, we sat down with Julie and expressed that a fitness routine would be in her best interest.

She then agreed and thus when she returned home it was expressed that she was starting her fitness workout. We was very proud of her and then she expressed how she wanted to sign with us – leading to us signing her as a model for The 9 Firm. Once we signed her, we expressed to her that we didn’t think that the images that she shot at that time were something that needed to be released to the public. So we offered to re-shoot her on her next visit to Miami. She told us that she travels to Miami a lot and would be back down in the next few weeks to a month. This would have been at no charge because we felt that she would do a lot better on her shoot with the new fitness routine that she was participating in.

Julie then came down and decided that her partying on South Beach was more important than her scheduling her shoot. We explains to Julie that she needed to take her modeling more serious but that when she leaves Kentucky she loves to party. Because of that happening, we wasn’t able to complete the shoot in Miami. She basically told us in quote “I didn’t come to work, I came to have fun”. So we left it there to continue to move forward with business. Julie contacted us and asked us for advice on a cosmetic surgery procedure that she wanted to have done because she felt as if the fitness routine wasn’t helping her out at all. We explained to her that if that would build her confidence level within herself, than she should do what makes her happy. She then proceeding to have the surgery done and it was explained to us her recovery time would be shorter than most.

She had frequent visits to the doctor and it was then told to us that he would soon give her an approval to get back to modeling. During her down time, we decided to to work on her brand “Bella Dream Curves” which sells waist shapers imported from China. She expressed that she was making a lucrative living off of selling her waist shapers off of social media, her website and a brick and mortar boutique that her friend owns. She also told us that she needed a total re-design of the site because someone previously had control over her last site and wouldn’t release it for re-design. After providing her with information on how to retrieve the domain name, she then told us that the person no longer communication with her in regards to her site. So we decided to put together a new domain strategy where we went and purchased the domain name (bdcwaistetrainers.com).

We redesigned the site, hosted the site on our servers, and implemented new customer services strategies for customer retention. Once the site was re-designed, it was launched – her site began to receive orders. We know that orders starting to come in due to us sharing the same customer service email on the site. From the time the site opened up until now, it was explained to Julie that she was getting a lot of refund requests because she wasn’t handling business on her end. After expressing these things to Julie, she told us that she would take care of it. In her statement to the RIP OFF REPORT.COM, she claims that we removed her site which was never the case. (www.bdcwaisttrainers.com). As you can see from the images provided below – the site was NEVER taken down. So with that not being able to shoot, we set her to shoot in Chicago with a photographer we always deal with it. She was charged the same rate that the photographer charges – there was no price gouging. She then received her proofs with in 48 hours and then we proceeds to pick out her edits within the next 72 hours.

Once her edited pictures were selected, we then proceeded to have them published in Pressure Magazine and another set appears on Dynasty Series. After viewing the images from the publishing shoot and switching up the views of the company to go more mainstream, we expressed to her that she needed to go more editorial and commercial due to her body. So we set up a shoot in Cleveland, Ohio wth our photographer that shoots more editorial and commercial styled models. Her wardrobe was purchased and was sent to Julie after HER approval of the items selected. The only thing was missing was a pair of white skinny jeans which we sent them back to the company. Before her shoot could even happen, Julie decided to pull of this project. We parted ways due to her wanting to go backwards with her career, host parties for little to no money and more.
