Kings HealthMart Pharmacy is the biggest lying rip off store I've ever encountered.  There are many other compound pharmacies,  just look them up on the internet, the website is : pccarx.com

 

This is a compound pharmacy, which means in addition to selling regular prescriptions, they make custom made blends which are not made by the drug companies.  Most pharmacies don't do this, but there are enough around that do.

 

I went to them a few years ago with a prescription for a compound drug.  I gave them my insurance card, and then they called me to tell me that my insurance company didn't authorize the payment for the drug.  They stated that the insurance companies don't pay for compound drugs.  I found this very odd, because a compound drug is a prescription drug, and my company pays for prescription drugs.  I didn't question them any further on this.  I picked up the drug, paid $ 37 for it in full, and then called my insurance company, who told me to submit a reimbursement form.  I brought the form to the pharmacy, they filled it out, and I was reimbursed by the company for the full amount, minus my $6.00 co payment.

 

On  the morning of  Wednesday, 7-5-17,  my doctor's office faxed a prescription for the same compound to this pharmacy.  By midday, I got a call from a male at the pharmacy telling me that the medication was going to be $47.  I asked him why it was so much, and he said the price had gone up.  I told him to submit it thru my insurance company, and he told me that the insurance companies do not pay for the compound drugs.  I told him to do it anyway, and if they didn't pay for it, I would pay for it. 

 

On  Thursday, 7-6-17, I called to ask if my prescription was ready, and was told by this male pharmacist that is was not, and that it takes about 24 hours to make.  I found this very odd as well.  I didn't get called that it was ready until  the afternoon of 7-7-17,  3 days after they got the fax for it.  A very long strange delay, which was never explained to me.  It does not take 3 days to fill a prescription, unless they did not have some ingredients in stock, which they never stated.

 

On the afternoon of  Friday, 7-7-17, I went there, paid for my prescription, and was charged one dollar more than originally stated, which was $ 48 now.  Somehow in 3 days the price went up.  I asked for the pharmacist to fill out my reimbursement form.  A young oriental pharmacist came out, and told me she didn't know how to fill out the form, and I would have to come back when the owners were there, which wouldn't be until Monday.  I asked her to call them to find out how to fill out the form and she refused.  How can the owners leave a pharmacist on duty that cannot fill out a simple drug form ?

 

On Monday, 7-10-17,  I went to the pharmacy with the prescription reimbursement form, and was given to one of the owners - Erin Blood.  She refused to fill out the form, telling me what I believed was one lie after another.  She told me that if she fills out the form, my insurance company will take all the money back from her.   I told her this was impossible, for it never went through them to begin with.  She kept insisting that the company would take the money from her.  I asked her how they could do this, and she tells me they can take it out of her bank account.  I knew this was an incredible lie, but I kept my temper down.

 

I got home, called my prescription company and told a rep. what happened.  The rep told me that the prescription was not even put through their system to begin with for payment !   Then the rep. told me that this drug was covered by my plan, and that I should have been charged no more than $6.00 for it.  And as for the company taking money out of the pharmacies bank account, the rep. said this was nonsense.  The rep. asked me for the phone number of the pharmacy and told me she would call me back.

 

About 10 minutes later, the pharmacist Erin Blood calls me, nasty as can be, and asks me if I complained about her to my prescription company.  I told her I did.  She tells me in a nasty tone " Come in and we will give you an $18 refund.  That's what it costs us.  And we will not be filling anymore compound prescriptions for you. "   I was in shock to hear this arrogant low life talk to me like this.  Then she hung up the phone.   I was never treated so badly at a pharmacy in my life.  I was working in retail for many years before this woman ever did.  This is not the way to treat a customer.

 

I called the prescription company back, spoke to the same rep., who told me how nice the Erin was on the phone to her.  Erin verified that she never put the prescription through my insurance, and that she would give me a refund.  I told the rep. what she had just said to me.  The rep. was shocked.  The rep. said that she had warned Erin that she was being recorded, and she seemed very nice to her.  The rep. stated that I should be getting all of my money back minus a $6.00 co-payment.  When I told her what Erin said to me, the rep. advised me to not do business with them anymore, and never pay them in full for any prescription.  The rep. stated that she never had this problem with a pharmacy like this.   Erin Blood is a liar and scam artist, who never put my prescription  through my insurance so they could get the full cash amount for it, rather than a reduced insurance payment.

 

On Tues. 7-12-17, I went back to Kings for my refund.  Erin was in the back, so I told my story to the cashier.  This woman went back to Erin, had a long conversation, and came back, refunding me $42, leaving me with a $6.00 co-payment, which is what I was supposed to pay to begin with.  Erin didn't have the nerve or decency to come face me in the front, she hid in the back.

 

In short, this pharmacy didn't put my prescription through my insurance purposely, in order to charge me the full cash price.  Then Erin lied to me stating that my insurance company would not pay anything for it.  Then she lied telling me that if she filled out my direct reimbursement form, she would have all the money taken from her.  Then she tells me she will never fill out a compound prescription me again.  And they were one of the highest priced for the drug to begin with.  Stay away from this pharmacy !
