I bought this vacuum thinking that even though it is $1000 it is worth it because it serves multiple purposes. The salesman stole my other vacuum that I owned. He said that he had to take it in trade. I was thinking I was getting a new vacuum so why would I need two. Boy was I wrong. It was SO HEAVY. After using it less than one week it became SO HEAVY I couldn't move it without a hand truck. I changed the bag and it was so difficult. Dust flew up in my face, it was a dirty trick. Then I called them back to try to return it and they told me that I had only three days to return it and it had been 5!!!
I felt like I was stuck with it, so I tried to make the best of it. The wheels do not roll unless it is ON, so that means that when you have to move it when it is OFF, You have to LIFT it. Like I said, I could only move it if I used a hand truck. I was using it to blow up my daughters inflatables and the INDESTRUCTIBLE nozzle on the inflating tool broke off! What a piece of garbage. Then probably six more months past, I had stopped using the Kirby vacuum and was very content to use my shop-vac since it sucked up mess so much more efficiently. One day I had back pain and didn't feel like doubling over to use the floor tool hose on the shop-vac so I got the hand truck and went and brought the monster into the master bedroom. I turned it on and POP! The motor DIED! I tried calling, and I tried writing and I haven't gotten a response.
I just want to throw the d**n beast into the trash pile! It is an EVIL HEavy eye sore, that just makes me sick because it cost $1000!
DO NOT BUY A KIRBY VACUUM!!! ANY $88 WAL-MART BRAND IS BETTER!
