Kitchen Showplace Etc. Rui Leandro Used To Work @ Van Go Artisans Inc. not wanting to pay for the job Calgary Alberta

I have been working for Rui Leandro for about one month painting the house. He has offered me this position and told me what needs to be done. We have agreed on the pay and overtime. Since it was my first job in Canada, I was so eager to work and work so I can support and help my family. I had been working nights and weekends too to get the job done.

I was working on my own without any help. I had some questions along my progress for Rui (about brushes, paint, and other related issues) trying to reach him so many times leaving messages on his home line, his cell , but Rui never returned my phone calls. Only when the job was almost finished, he had phoned me and said he did not like my work and does not have money to pay (he owes me about $1500 with overtime).

Rui should have been checking my job on a regular basis and directing me since he had hired me (Rui said he was so busy, did not have time to stop by or call)

My daughter has been calling Rui all these time requesting to pay, but he was avoiding us and never was responding. He has been promising us money for about a year. Then we ask Employment Standard office to go after Rui and serve an order, they could not do it either because they did not have an address for Rui (he has changed the place of work, his place of residence etc.) and they closed an order. After several month we were able to investigate and found Rui Leandro, his new place of work. He does not list his name in any of the books in Calgary and he is registered under different name.

We have been told that this guy has left many people unpaid, and many people trying to find him so they can collect their honestly earned money. It is the second company in Calgary as we know of he is running (Van Go Inc. and Kitchen Showplace Etc.) and he is doing the same things not paying his employees. I think this guy should be punish somehow and understand that he cannot act like that with people. I am pleading please, please help me.
