I own a mitsubishi Galant (car)and it was acting wierd. It seemed to be catching in between gears sometimes. So I took it to Kline mitsubishi/autoworld , being they are a DEALERSHIP I figured they would figure out the problem. Well, they told me that who ever did my last oil change emptied out my tranny fluid, (this was possible) and that my tranny "dropped" on the hoist, and the car was not drivable!
Well, my neighbor is a mechanic and had done my last oil change and said that if he did drain the tranny fluid, he would replace my tranny for free... So he had my car towed home and took a look at it himself. Well, the tranny fluid was full?! And he test drove the car, it seemed ok....he drove it to mnlps for 3 days and it is fine!!! I did not need a new tranny for $3,000.00 !!!ALso Kline warned me to get my timing chain replaced asap ($300.00) and it was fine!!!
Plus I had to pay over $100.00 to get the wrong answer from Kline!!!! BeWare of the DEALERSHIP Rip off artists!!!
