They spend all this money on their web site but invest little or nothing in keeping their property clean or safe. For instance the showers which are shared among guests are decrepit, with botched and dated plumbing and fixtures, having a rusting and worn out shower caddy sitting with exposed metal and rust in the showers. The cost to replace that item with a plastic one, this one has been there for decades, would be about $1.00. It makes no sense to me.

The WIFI internet is unusable and out for vast portions of your stay. I had about two hours of actual use per day for the week I was there and the rest of the time you could connect but there was no network beyond the router for some reason. When you did have internet it was so slow you basically could do nothing with it anyway. Your browser will just keep timing you out.

In keeping with that their reservation system does not work properly, attempting to make reservations has it take your money, offer no confirmation that it went through and sends you no email, then you find out later they expected you to be there but never confirmed it, of course they want to keep your money then since it is their fault.

Housekeeping staff after a few days could not understand that a traveller would be sleeping during the day with a 20 hour time zone difference and all but broke down the door not to get into my room. I would think that knocking and finding the door locked meant I did not need service for that day. They must not know the hotel/hostel trade very well.

I would not return there and suggest you find other lodging when in Brisbane.
