Kozy is a cooling and heating company located in Plano TX, but lately they have only been good for heating things up more. my house had problems with the upstairs unit when we first got here. But what was supposed to be an easy fix took a turn for the worst. it was 100+ degree weather outside and like any typical A/C unit in temperatures like that it decided to stop working and the temperature in the house upstairs began to climb to the 80's. We called Nick over the first time. The A/C worked for about one day then immediately got hot again and stopped working. The second time we had to replace the Freon. After that our cieling fell through where there was some type of leak where the unit was. Turned out the leak had nothing to do with rain nor the plumbing it was the unit. We called Kozy and of course they were not trying to take responsibility for that incident. Not only did the cieling fall exactly where the upstairs unit was located but there was water damage and mold that fell on the carpet and there were no filters. My Grandmother recently had cancer in her chest and we believe that dirty air that was circulating through the house had a lot to do with it and we have medical records to show for it. on another note shortly before and even now we have been experiancing this awful howling noise through the vents. (That was the same noise that sounded off right before the cieling fell yet there was no warning prior to this leak it was a sudden chain of events) On the fourth time Nick came and blew out our pipes because apparently they were clogged which was why we heard that howling/whistling noise but it doesn't explain why I would still hear it occasionally even now. Shortly after he left the A/C stopped working once again and began to blow hot air and the temperature upstairs was now creeping up to the 90's almost as hot hot as it already was outside when the sun was at the highest point of the sky. This is all in the same month of August. Finally the fourth time he came back and said we need to replace either the Compressor or the whole unit. Mind you, each time he paid us a visit he never once warned us if we had a problem with the A/C in the first place, even in his reports/ write-ups he'd do after each visit he would conclude that everything looked good in the unit. I would not recommend Kozy for A/C service but if you have a heating issue in the Winter they are the perfect ones for the job. They make your heat run great all year long.

Problems with the Report

AUTHOR: KozyServices - ()

POSTED: Tuesday, September 02, 2014

There are several problems with the above "complaint" and that term should be considered very loosely.

1. The images used in this report can be found on other blogs. Probably should use original images when you make up an incident.

2. Name of the tech used in this post was also clearly made up.

3. We were contacted by (how ironic) a "reputation management" company about this link to get it "cleaned up," but they made the mistake of sending it to us before it was even live. How would they know that a post like this was going to happen?

4. This post is overly optimized for certain keywords to try and get it to rank for our reviews. Someone with an issue with their air conditioning system would write freely, not strategically.

We install and repair more heating and cooling systems in the Dallas Metroplex than any other vendor due to our relationship with a leading national home warranty company. We have even won awards from this warranty company for our excellent service.

Any time you do high-volume business, not only do you have more hands on experience than anyone, but you also become a target for negative feedback like this.

On our website we have a review page dedicated to the many positive reviews across the Internet so you don't have to visit 15 different sites to get a good picture.

Thank you for taking the time to read this rebuttal. We're not angry about it, we're just disapponted.

Update on UnKozy service

AUTHOR: Harlie - ()

POSTED: Tuesday, August 26, 2014

Do not give them a credit card. I repeat do not give them a credit card. We gave them a credit cardthat was activated that day 8/19/2014. We received a call from the credit card company that our card was maxed out at Lowe's and Home Depot.  They also charged us to replace the Condenser July 22 2014. They turned right back around and told us we need either a new condenser or a new unit August 25th 2014. I am no expert but I don't think condensers stop working after a month, so either they never did the job we paid them for or they are pulling our leg. American Home Shield should contract with more competent contractors. p.s, the city would not even pass their work. So it is not just us. Beware.
