A woman calling from an unknown number calling herself Kristen Davis and claiming to be an independent process server has called me, my husband, and my sister in law saying she needs to serve me papers tomorrow between 3 and 5 at my home or work.
She said I have been officially notified, and to have my picture ID ready for her. She said if I want to deal with the company directly, I can call 443-225-4258 with case number CV96909.
I called that number, (which I know I probably shouldn't have, but I was embarrassed because she was calling my family), and a man by the name of Pitt (?, he was difficult to understand) answered. He asked for my case number.
I told him first of all, I am recording this conversation because I suspect it is a scam. He then abruptly told me to have a good day, and he will take me off his "list".
It's upsetting enough when they're calling me, but it's especially upsetting that they're calling my family.
