Kwik Kar Took car in for fluid top off and they forgot to tighten my radiator cap and now my car is finished. ripoff Frisco Texas

I took my car to Kwik Kar on Main Street in Frisco where I have gone for a while now. I went in and asked them how much they would charge me to check and top off all my fluids. The guy that did the work is a regular at my buisiness and I thought he would take care of me.

After he filled all my fluids I took my car and parked it at my job for the night. I was leaving for Oklahoma the next morning and wanted to make sure my car was all topped off and ready for the trip.

The next morning we took off for Oklahoma, we drove there with no problems. On the way home my car started to overheat and knock very loud. I pulled over and checked underneath my hood and to my suprise my radiator cap was not tightened on completely.

My waterpump went out, cracked my radiator and caused $1400 worth of damage to a car that had nothing wrong with it when i took it in. I got my car back and took it to them and asked them to look at it and tell me what all is wrong and i told them that my radiator cap was not put back on correctly. The guy that did the work on my car said that he had never seen me before. I gave him a $10 tip just for the help that day I took my car in.

So the shop owner tells me that my radiator cap is faulty and that I will have to pay for the damage to my car. My radiator cap was not faulty anytime before that and was not faulty when I took it in for the fluid top off. The guy that did the work said to me when the owner walked away," I will give you your $10 back and this is not in my hands anymore.

The owner told the kid that he was responsible for the damage if they found it was his fault. the owner cussed and yelled and threatened me that if i didn't leave that he was going to call the police because i was making a seen and scaring away his customers. If you guys want buisiness that will pay then do the work correctly and be honest about what you didn't do and that was that you all serviced my car, didn't tighten on my radiator cap and now i am out a car and you guys no longer have a good standing with me or any of the many clients I send your way.
