LA Fitness Complaints About Their Personal Trainer Agreement San Diego, California

i am complaining about the way this la fitness in san diego, ca mira mesa area and the personal trainers program scam unsuspecting members like me into signing up for one.  I wanted to cancel the agreement/contract before i would get started but was informed by the general manager of that la fitness location that it was too late to cancel and that there was nothing they could do to help me.  

i had informed them i was not working full time and wouldn't be making enough of an income to afford their one year session.  i wish the original staff who had attended me would of informed me verbally at the time what the timeline and any other information needed to cancel the agreement.  Now they have charged me a total of $149 initiation fee plus 1st months session of $70.  

all I wanted was to get the Personal Trainer Program cancelled and my refund of the $219 they had previously charged me.  now i am out of the $219.  I only work like 2 to 3 days a week and make minimum wage of $8 an hour.  

i really feel the PT staff who had attended me that day singled me out and somehow swindled me into getting into one of their personal trainers sessions.  i've always had a good relationship with LA fitness even when they had brought out Bally's Fitness which i was originally with when the they took over.  Because of this deception on their part, they have put me in dire financial difficulties.

so again i wish that staff/sales associate who had attended me that day would of properly and clearly informed me that i only had a certain time to cancel the agreement.  because he didn't, i am now finding myself angry, upset, and stressed out.  so yes i do feel like this particular la fitness ripped me off big time.
