Labor Law Compliance Institute Makes you think they are a government agency and that you have to order from them in order to be in compliance! They misrepresent themselves! Clearwater, Florida

I am normally VERY careful about giving out my cc information, but with a new business about to open, and all of the licenses, inspections, laws, fees, etc., you get used to everything costing money. This agency misrepresents themselves as a government agency.

They kind of breeze by the full name when they call, and what you think is that they are a government agency, such as the department of labor. It is some very "fancy" talking, and they are very convincing. They contact you right when they know you are close to opening, and then call saying that you will be in non-compliance if you do not have the posters, so you feel like it's a normal thing for new businesses, and that you have no choice.

I will admit, I was kind of shocked at the price, but again, with purchasing so many things for business, and every little thing costing money,it just seemed par for the course. After I hung up the phone, I got a sick feeling, like I had been swindled....going,..wait a minute, HOW much did I just pay for some labor posters? This can't be right....sure enough, you can print them out for FREE online. This is a scam. They honestly make it sound like this is the only way to get them.

I did leave a message on their answering service this evening, telling them not to send my package, because I would be disputing the charge, and returning the items, due to misrepresentation, so I will see what happens next....I really feel like they just caught me in a super-busy moment and I totally got suckered, but again, thought it was the government, and was trying to do the right thing by being in compliance...sick people working there!
