Labor Ready Forced Resignation due to false allegations of violating non-compete Tacoma Washington

On November 25th 2008 I received a notice from Labor Ready alleging I had violated my non-compete/solicitation/disclosure, specifically this canned letter alleged my violation was that I had solicited a customer (or client), this alleged customer was not a customer at the time of my departure therefore I had no knowledge of this customer nor do I posess knowledge of them being a "prospect" at the time of my departure. Consequently the current company I "was" working for did not want to enter into litigation with Labor Ready and all of thier money and resources so my resignation was forced. I worked for Labor Ready under one of the companys brands for 2+ years as an Area Manager and have been placed under a non-compete that also places me in a situation where my sources for employment in the particular field are very limited. The reason for my deaprture was also very questionable as I was forced to resign my position from there becuase of "performance" reasons when I was not even notified, warned or coached about, when in contrast I had an employee working for one of my branches that threatened me physically and I was not "allowed" to terminate employement to protect Labor Ready. I have been placed in a position of great hardship now, I have also sought the assistance of an attorney who consulted with me and said it did not appear that I had violated my non-compete, but alas, I do not have the monetary resources to pursue any legal actions. Employees and former employees beware, Labor Ready retains a full compliment of lawyers and has unlimeted resources in which to use against you, they wave the big "I got more money the you, so what are you going to do about it" flag and they do not think anyone will do anything about it. This I believe will catch up with them.
