My husband and I decided to sign onto a one year contract with l.a. boxing. We had five days to cancel to get a full refund. We canceled are contract on the fifth day. It has been 21 (from 10/26/09) business days since and we have not received any form of a refund. I called them but they did not answer my numerous calls. It would just ring and ring and ring or they would click it to voice mail. So I went there in person to talk to Christopher Eyre (general manager) who tried so very hard to not get us to cancel. I told him I did not receive a refund and it's been over 15  business days (he said before I would get my refund in 10 business days after I canceled). I asked where is it? It's not showing up on my credit card as a credit. he said "I told you before you are going to get a check in the mail, it's not like I can cut you a check right here." My manager handles the paper work I don't, all the canceled contracts get shipped away." So I said how can I get a hold of him. Christopher said well I'd have to call him to find out what's going on, he has 3 kids it's not like he's always available." I said okay will you call me when you find out what's going on? He said yes of course. Well needless to say he has not kept his word and neither has the l.a. boxing of Carlsbad CA. I have not heard a word from them no phone calls no check no credit. I contacted my credit card company which will hopefully resolve the matter. I'm not sure how the credit card company gets another business who is unwilling to keep it's word to pay up.  Christopher kept telling me I would get a check in the mail.... when it is alot easier to just refund the credit card. In my opinion I think they were trying to keep me thinking that I would receive a check so I wouldn't dispute their charge on my card and they could be free of any debate. I do not recommend this l.a. boxing to anyone especially the carlsbad CA location they've lied to me several times and are trying to pocket almost 2 grand of my meager income.
