I am writing to inform prospective employees to not work for this company. I had worked there in the past and was under a false impression that things will work out. I was about 23 and wanted to establish a career. From what I was told was that the company recognizes employees who work hard and would try to promote them. I knew a promotion would not happen overnight, but that did not deter me from trying. I got hired as a file clerk and I did not want to make it a career. Almost a year later and I noticed that there was nothing promising for me. I asked in person and in writing to be considered for a position, and was brushed off each time.

Only once did I get a letter response saying how I was not capable or ready yet they promoted people who did not have the skills to the positions I was interested in. I continued working there, but the treatment got worst and worst. My former boss (I will use the initials LS) was a mean and rude boss. She would constantly yell and belittle the file clerks as if we were chopped liver. She mainly favored one who just recently got promoted while the rest had to deal with her anger issues. What made me quit was when another employee said I was a hard worker and she laughed as well as the constant times of bothering me during my linch break to help get charts.

Overall, working there has made me felt as if I was worthless and had nothing better to offer there. Working there is like a cult and if you are not cool with management or not related to management, chances are you will not be promoted. As a file clerk, do not ever put your resume there becaue all you're gonna deal with is LS yelling and using her being Russian as an excuse. It is very unprofessional and high school like working there and they have a high turnover rate for employees. I may sound like a bitter employee but trust me working there should NEVER be an option.

All of the posts about this place are 150% accurate.  The environment is so toxic at this place, that it could turn the nicest, sweetest, most caring and compassionate person into a vile, back biting b* in no time.  And, that is exactly what they want, for some sick reason.  The management encourages that type of behavior, because that is exactly what they are. The self-proclaimed C.O.O. (who doesn't have any college education whatsoever) is a micromanaging freak who thinks she is better than everybody else.  God only knows what she did to get that job.  Both she and the nurse manager are 2 peas in a pod---they are bullies, plain and simple.  Their management style is to threaten, intimidate, insult, degrade & embarrass the employees.  They'll smile to your face and rip you apart behind your back because they don't have the balls to say it to your face.

Their reply to the posts is amusing.  They're "surprised" to see the posts?  Please---they know how miserable everybody in that place is.   And, contrary to what the claim to be true, they do not have a "large number" of employees who have been there for a long time.  The employees that have been there for a long time are just like they are---bullies.  The managers certainly didn't get into those positions because of the education, experience and skills they had----they just kissed a** better than other employees.  And their wonderful "profit sharing plan" is a crock of s*.  They hire young people and new nurses that they know are not going to stay there for the rest of their careers, and when they leave they forfeit whatever they had vested in the fantastic profit sharing plan, which means that it then goes back into the general fund for everybody else.  There are a handful of employees that stand to benefit at all from the profit sharing plan, and the adminstrator is now 62 so she wants to make sure it's nice and plump when she retires.  She is up the doctor's behinds to do more cosmetic procedures to increase the profits so the profit sharing plan is nice and fat for when she retires.  God forbid they have a normal retirement/pension plan like other employers do---one where you can take it with you after you leave.  That's what they don't want---they don't want anyone to take anything that they can stuff in their own pockets.  Their sole concern is to do damage control to maintain the fake facade they've built to exude this phony attitude of everybody being so happy all the time.  Anything negative on the internet is met with a quick reply from them.  They have no interest in discussing anything with the posters---they just want to know who they are so they can sue them.  The fact of the matter is that so many employees, whether they left the practice or they're still there, are absolutely miserable and any one of them could have written these posts----it drives them crazy because they have no idea who wrote the posts.  Do they actually think anybody will come forward to speak to them about their "dissatisfaction"? (which is the correct word, not "unsatisfied"----a perfect example of less intelligent people attempting to use big words when they don't even know what they mean)  The didn't give a s* about how "unsatisfied" they were when they worked there, what would discussing it now accomplish?  What a stupid retort.

Two of the doctors---they are sisters---jumped ship & opene dup their own private practice on the upper east side.  Undoubtedly, they got sick of dealing with the bulls* that goes on in that place.  They are highly educated, insanely intelligent, skilled and their patients love them---and those patients are going to follow them right out the door of LSSCNY to their beautiful, plush office on east 64th street.  The adminstrator must be very threatened by them, since they did all of the vein treatments, cosmetic procedures and Mohs surgery---all BIG money makers.

This place is all about money, and I've never seen people who worshipped the almighty dollar more than in this place.  They do not care about people----they care about money.  Both the nurse manager and administrator sat in front of me, looked me in the eyes and lied to my face---and then denied that they said anything. If you ever get called into the office, make sure you're wearing a recording device to record the conversation----then when they deny that they said something or told you something, you can prove them wrong and watch them try to back peddle out of it.  I bent over backwards for this place, and now realize that I never should have given one iota more than was minimally necessary.

They will stomp on your self esteem, make you doubt yourself when you never did before, make you feel bitter and angry all the time, they will drain you of all positive energy, mak eyou paranoid and attempt to drag you into their lair of nasty, back biting, lying and bullying ways.  Save yourself, your sanity and your sense of professionalism & ethics and do not work here.  The last thing you want to be is one of them.  Get a job where your ideas will be welcomed, where you won't feel threatened all the time, and where hard work pays off because here, none of that matters.

LSSC company gives half a**** apology very typical

Since my posting, I had noticed a couple of other former employees speak out about them and I was happy to see that. I also saw that big head honcho LSSC must have gotten im on their feelings and posted a generic and half a*s apology which didnt address anything except why they make me glad that I left. So I wanted to point out facts to the company just so maybe they can see people are not making stuff up.

1. If you think that working there as an African American does not hinder, its complete bulls***. That place screams racism on all levels (I have seen and dealt with it personally)

2. Favoritism is key. Only reason why you have people that worked there so long is because they dont do their work efficiently and you favor those who dont work. Other than that, that place is worst than a brothel with people constantly coming in and out. Even patients complain about the instability.

3. Only complacent and low self esteemed  people work there because its their only place to shine. If the actions and behaviors of management and some of the former staff were to occur at any other company, aost everybody would get fired.

No, I dont want a half a**** generic apology from a company who only values the non hard workers.

We are surprised to see this complaint, and are sorry to hear that you were unsatisfied with your experience as an employee at our practice.  We pride ourselves on running an active and dynamic medical practice where our employees receive wide-ranging responsibilities based on their talents.  In fact, we are quite proud that a large number of our employees have been with us for over ten years and some over 20 years since the center was founded.  

Many of these employees began their careers with us in clerical positions and now have administrative responsibilities with commensurate increases in salaries and benefits.  We are also pleased that, unlike most businesses, our employees have ownership in our business through our employee stock option plan.  We would very much like to address the concerns you have mentioned here but, as your posting was made anonymously, we are unable to reach out to you.  If you are willing to speak to us about this further, please contact us at your earliest convenience.
