Today, April 7, 2010, I discovered my checking account was debited $34.19 from Online Discount Membership. I called the number listed on the bogus check that Liberty Discount Club issued with my name and account number 877-369-8524. After speaking with a unknowledgable person about this company I was told to go to their website www.libertyclubrefund and apply for a refund. The first statement on this site is "signed up for Liberty Discount Club in error." What a joke! I did not sign up for this club at any time nor did I give my checking accounty number, name, etc. to this company. I did apply for a payday loan but at no time did the name Liberty Discount Club ever appear on this payday loans site. I did not receive any emails from Liberty authorizing any any membership nor money to be taken out of my checking account. This is fraud. I filled out the form but my hopes are not high about receiving a refund. But I intend to persue this until this "company" is put out of business and they can no longer steal money out of our accounts. I am also contacting the State Attorney General to file a Class Action Suit. Please join me. We are all hard working people and when hard times come along one thing we do not need is a dishonest company stealing our money.
