LAURAY'S LAURAY'S THE DIAMOND CENTER THEY ARE CONS/ BETTER GET ALL JEWELRY PURCHASED FROM THEM APPRAISED AT ANOTHER JEWELRY STORE, YOU WILL BE SHOCKED! HOT SPRINGS, Arkansas

I went to Laurays for a wedding ring. Brought in a trade appraised at $5100.00, they aggread to take the trade at the appraised value if I purchased a ring worth $10,000.00.  I stated that the ring MUST be worth 10k and everyone there agreed that the selected ring was worth OVER $10k, this included everyone, Millie Fowler, Mark Fleischner...everyone there.

I purchased the ring, they told me the appraisal would arrive in the mail. Once again I asked Fowler, Fleischner and the others if the appraisal would reflect a value of over $10,000.00 and she and two others said clearly "yes". Now understand, I was very persistant about asking that exact question.

The appraisal came in the mail showing a value of $7200.00. Now after calling them they stated "It's a typo". Now what jewelry store does this!?! Come on, these people played me for a fool once but now trying for a second time!?!

I took the ring to 3 other jewelry stores, the ring value was $4200.00 to $4500.00! Yes do the math, that means that I GAVE them a ring worth $5100.00 for FREE!!

When I told the owner of Laurays that I was going to get their ring appraised he practically begged me not to do that, asked what we could do to work it out, offered a full refund if that is what I wanted, he offered to give another band to me for free! Well of course he did!! He knew he was busted on this deal! Thats called "hush funding"!

Now keep in mind, I trusted these people. They looked me in the eye and flat out lied to me. My saleslady is a trained crook just like the rest of them. I took their ring back and put it on my fiance's finger when we were married. Then I had to take it back from her and explain that I was ripped off....do you know how hard that is to do!!This caused us to be seperated for a while and caused serious problems in our marriage.

After returning to the store, and once again recording the entire conversation as I had done the first time I walked in, they tried to explain an error by the appraiser and more blaa blaa blaa.

I even have the second appraisal written by them showing the $4,000.00 ring now worth $11,000.00! 

I gave them the worthless ring back, got my original trade in back and left those con artist. Laurays sits in the middle of a trinket selling street for tourists, so that's what you can expect to purchase there.

These people are BUSTED with no way out of this deal. Not only do I have all of the paperwork but recorded conversations as well.

If you are planning on purchasing anything from Lauray's, DON'T DO IT!! 

If you have already purchased anything from Lauray's, take it NOW to 3 other jewelry stores and get everything appraised. 

If you work for Lauray's and want to be able to walk the streets of Hot Springs without shame then you need to quit your job now.

Lauray's are cons, theve been getting away with it for years because people have trusted them. It's time for people to see the ugly truth. These people have earned first class tickets to HELL, if they go to your church, kick them out!
