Laurel Oaks Funeral Home & Memorial Park Laurel Oaks waited over one year to tell me that i needed to remove the Angel that was set when her head stone was set. My baby lost her kife to Gun Violence on Thanksgiving Day 2014 and Laurel Oaks sent me a letter in Feb. 2016 saying i had untill the 29th of Feb. to reove it. When i went to see my baby her Angel was missing, i went to the office and they had it. If Laurel Oaks was concerned about their rules they should have enforced them from the very begaining, but they waited to long, they told me it was against the rules. yet every one else gets to keep everything.  Mesquite Texas

My name is Diana, and my baby lost her life on Thanksgiving Day 2014 to Gun Violence. When I had my baby's headstone set over a year ago Laurel Oaks Memorial Park never said anything regarding the setting of the stone or what they did or did not allow. On Feb. 2016 they sent me a letter telling me that I had till the 29th of Feb 2016 to remove the Angel or they would do it for me. When i went to see my baby on 4-4-16 her Angel was gone. Also when my baby lost her life i wanted to bury my baby close to me so that i could go visit her as much as i could. I looked on the internet and found laurel oaks it said that they were in Mesquite so I buried my baby at Laurel Oaks. When they took her Angel down i did some research and found out that they are NOT in Mesquite, they are in Balch springs Tx. I don't think that this is legal, if it is everyone is bracking the law. They are lieing and making everyone think that they are in Mesquite when they are NOT. Do you really think that people that are grief stricken have time to look up if someone is lieing or being decieving. No....My baby's grave site was vandalized and they did not call 911. People sit out in their cars and are doing drugs and laurel oaks dose not call 911. Under Texas code Law relating to cemeteries, 711.001 under section; Definition " Endowment Care" means the maintenance, repair and care of all places in the cemetery. NOT breck and put all expensive things families buy for their loved ones steal, throw or vandalize. The employees that do the Perpetual care brack and throw all the things i take to my baby. A lady by the name of Sara told me after Christhmas that is I wanted the thing that i would have to go get them out of the trash. I bought my baby solar lights two times and someone stole them. they did not call 911 or even care. They lied about having any open spaces in the front and I see them bury people towards the front office. There is alot of discrimination going on at Laurel Oaks. And especially with what they have done to me and my baby's grave site, and all the grief they have caused me and have only made things worse for me. By targeting me and my baby's grave site.
