To any prospective families/clients reading this Rip off Report posting,

I sincerely ask that you read through the entire report (including initial reports, attached documents, and report rebuttals). A relative of Lauren Kilby originally posted the 1st Rip off Report on Shaquannah Williams in 2009. I truly regret that they did that b/c it has been a career nightmare since then. I am a reputable , educated Nanny with references that has sincerely been retaliated against because I sued a client in small claims court for non payment of services. I know this report looks very drama and scary, but the true facts are I was Nanny for a family that did not/or could not pay for my services. They misrepresented their financial status as con artist and I was taken advantage of, and not paid. This happens many times on numerous websites. As years have past, I practice much more discretion when interviewing with families looking for Household staff.

This false report has truly had a negative effect on many job opportunities, and I just ask that you contact me before making a final decision to not contact me regarding your position.

It saddens me that Shaquannah (Shay) N. Williams and Reggie Garrett are able to mistreat people, and then try to seek justice for them selves. Luckily, we live in a society with a fair justice system that will not allow criminals to avail. To date, Shay Williams has continuously lied, harassed and defamed Lauren Kilby and her name. She has posted countless false accusations on other nanny sites regarding Lauren Kilby, which has causes Miss Kilby to lose several job opportunities. Additionally, neither Shay Williams nor Reggie Garrett has tendered payment to Lauren Kilby for her services she provided in March 2009. Lauren Kilby has not commented on any of Shay Williams or Reggie Garrett personal or business sites, nor has she posted on any websites about them. She ceased contact with them after her final demand for payment letter in late March. On March 31 2009 Lauren Kilby filed a suit against Shay Williams, Reggie Garrett, and GoNannies.com for payment of services, harassment, lack of due process, defamation, interference with advantageous relations and slander. The suit also included notice to Shay Williams and Reggie Garrett of improper employee classification based on IRS codes and the violation of Wage and Labor Laws.

 After evading service from US Marshals for well over a month, Shay Williams and Reggie Garrett were finally served. After they were served, Shay retaliated with making false accusations and starting smear campaign against Lauren Kilby.

Around early June, Shay Williams answered the suit with many improperly used legal jargon, and false allegations. The other defendant Gonannies.com of Texas also answered the suit. And Reggie Garrett never answered. All parties attended the first court date on September 3, 2009 and were summoned to mediation. The judge believed that the issue was minuet and could be resolved, with payment being rendered to Lauren Kilby for her services. Lauren Kilby attended mediation with an open heart and mind, however it was a disaster! Shay Williams and Reggie Garrett stormed out and would not sign any documents from the mediator. They also were getting irate with the mediator. In the mediation it was also reconfirmed that Shay Williams and Reggie Garrett made several false statements and they were not obeying IRS and Wage & Labor rules.

The following are inconsistencies or reconfirmation:

1.) In Shay Williams answer to the suit she stated that Lauren Kilby was not an employee but a volunteer, and she did not hire her on a trial basis, however in the above mention postings, and a Letter to Lauren Kilby, Shay Williams says... we interviewed Lauren Kilby and offered her an opportunity to work on a two week trial period

2.) In Shay Williams answer to the suit she stated that Reggie Garrett had nothing to do with the hiring of Lauren Kilby and Lauren Kilby was only the nanny for her two kids. Shay stated in the above posting... Reggie Garrett is my fianc who assisted me with choosing her.

3.) In Shay Williams answer to the suit she stated, she paid Lauren Kilby for her all services, however in the above posting Shay states I owed her a remaining balance Shay states I told her that I would be more than happy to pay her what we agreed minus the $100 advance if she could submit her 1099 information to me. There was no ADVANCE given to Kilby.

Since there was no resolution in mediation the case was sent back to the courts. Kilby and all the defendants received ample notice of court date and a service was rendered to all parties. On November 2, 2009 Lauren Kilby won her suit and a judgment against Shay Williams and Reggie Garrett. Shay Williams did not win any counterclaim against Kilby.

The outcomes of the case are as follows...

1.) Shay Williams and Reggie Garrett did not provide sufficient evidence that they did not owe Lauren Kilby payment from her services

2.) Shay Williams slandered Lauren Kilbys name with the additional posting of outside negative comments that were not affiliated to the Gonannies.com site (*the judge felt this was slander because Shay did not find Lauren Kilby on the other sites that Williams posted the negative comments and false accusations on Shay only had the right to post a review on Gonannies.com any additional post was slander and defamation)

3.) Lauren Kilby did not contact Shay Williams or Reggie Garrett after the sending her final payment letter. The evidence was submitted to the judge through cell phone bills and text messages.

4.) Shay Williams and Reggie Garrett did text Lauren Kilby stating that Reggie was going to tender payment when he returned from his trip.

5.) Gonannies.com did not give Lauren Kilby due process by disabling her account (they did not look into allegations), however since Kilby did electronically approve their online agreement with the fine print (no one reads) they did have right to disable accounts for any reasons.

6.) Shay Williams and Reggie Garret were in receipt of the court date.

7.) Lauren Kilby did win a judgment against Shay Williams and Reggie Garrett for non tender of payment, slander, lack of due process, amongst other things.

Lauren Kilby is an ambitious college graduate, with lots of experience, and insight. She also prides her image and reputation. All accusations against Lauren Kilby are false (i.e. she tried to blackmail for money, she harassed Shay Williams). She will always be transparent and truthful unlike Shay Williams and Reggie Garrett. So all the above statements are not fabricated lies, they are the truth! And with her honesty there is provided documentation to support the statements. Hopefully, all readers of this post can decipher through the fabricated stories and find truth.

Furthermore, Shay Williams and Reggie Garrett had 30 days after the judgment to file an appeal which would have been approximately December 3, 2009. Neither Williams nor Garrett filed an appeal.

Shay Williams continues to post negative and defaming comments (i.e. this posting) about Lauren Kilby after the judgment on November 2, 2009 because Lauren Kilby has began to collect on her judgment through Garnishment and FIFAs.

Lauren Kilby wishes for this to be over and wants her name and image to be restored. Kilby wants Shay Williams to refrain from posting these slanderous and defaming posts. She is very saddened by Shay Williams and Reggie Garrett continued retaliatory acts because she was served her justice!
