After reading three other complaints about Law Offices of John M. Ribarich/aka New Horizon & Associates, LLC, the same exact thing happened to me.  They asked for $7,000 up front and additional money to pay for credit card debt handled by Consumer Advocate Group.  Over 9 months later, we were asked to come in and sign loan documents.  The office staff were very unprofessional and watched TV while we were signing.  They did not explain anything to us until after we signed and then we were told that they could only help us with the second mortgage, only the first.  This was not told to us.  From the beginning we informed them that we needed to consolate the two loans.  They told us we would have to pay $25,000 to the bank to get out of the 2nd loan and that the only other alternative would be to file bankruptcy.  They also have been hounding us to pay them an additional $2,000 for something, in the end, they did not help us with.  I noticed that they have a clean record with BBB.  Anyone reading this who has a similar problem with this law office needs to file a complaint with BBB fast before they harm additional families.  We will now have to file bankruptcy and lose our home.
