Lawn Doctor of Denver Unethical sales & billing practices Lakewood, Colorado

I used Lawn Doctor of Denver once in April 2010 to get rid of ants.  They applied a treatment that was guaranteed to last a month but lasted about 3 weeks.  When I called to have the treatment repeated within the 30-day guarantee period, they waited till the day before the end of the expiration period to apply a second treatment.  The second treatment did no good.  Since then I have received sales mailings from the company, which I ignored.  Then I started receiving recorded sales calls once a week at my office. 

After several weeks of this, I left a VM for Lawn Doctor saying I wanted the calls to stop.  The same day, I got a VM on my home phone saying I would start receiving the sales calls at home instead of at my office.  The next week I got a sales call on my home voicemail.  At that point, I filed a complaint with the BBB saying I wanted no further mailings, voicemails or marketing communications from Lawn Doctor. 

The day after I received an email from the BBB saying a copy of my complaint had been sent to Lawn Doctor, I received a letter from a collection agency saying I owe Lawn Doctor $85.  I checked my records and found that I had paid $85 for the 2010 ant treatment with my credit card April 22.  The collection agency letter appears to be retaliation by Lawn Doctor for my BBB complaint.  I have now filed a second complaint with the BBB about Lawn Doctor feeding false information to a collection agency.
