Approximately 5 years ago I was the manager of a men's club. I was contacted by their representative regarding set-up of an ATM. Not knowing anything about it, I did not think it sounded like too bad of a deal. The lease payments were set up on a debit through the company's checking account.
I was a little concerned about signing my name on the lease, as I was the manager and not the owner. The representative told me not to worry as I was NOT the owner and the OWNER would be held liable should something come up.
Since that time the company has made all the 48 months of payments. Later that year the owner and I had a major difference of opinion and by mutual agreement I left his employ.

In October of 2008, I received a letter from this company stating I owed them $270.57 for lease payments. They went on to say that they were not able to debit MY account, therefore resulting in MY account being delinquent.
I contacted LFG and spoke to a man explaining it was not my account, was not my bank account and not my business. The man told me, "Well, that's too bad, but YOU signed your life away"!

I contacted the mens club as spoke to the current manager. She informed me there was no ATM machine there, but would contact the owner to find out about what had happened to it. Mr. Maxwell, the owner says he has never had an ATM machine in the business and know nothing of it. This sounds pretty flakey as he made 48+ lease payments on the machine. I requested copies of the lease and payment schedule, took them to our local police department and filed a report of the missing machine. After about a month of trying to call the officer that had taken my report, a detective finally called me and told me he had gone to the club and asked about the machine. He said no one knew anything about it so it was considered a civil matter and I would have to get an attorney.

During all this time I am getting letters stating I owe more and more money. I have asked several times for the form to cancel the month-to-month lease and LFG will not send it to me. They are now calling my work several times a week. The last woman was extremely rude and told me I was unprofessional, just cough up the money and take care of my responsibilities.

I found on this website that his company has been sued numerous times by different states Attorney General for unfair business practices. So I am going to take my case to the Nevada Attorney General! Hopefully this company will not be allowed to do business in Nevada any longer and others won't be scammed like I was!
