Lederer De Paris Ripoff, Fake Leather Bags New York New York

I attended one of the "Summer Sales." All of the bags are priced at $79. They claimed that these bags were "Genuine Leather" and normally sell for $400.

Not only were these bags not there regular merchandise, but they were not even leather! They are plastic! Of course, I didnt find this out until i brought them home to my wife as gifts. We had our friend look at them, who was in the leather business for 35 years, and he was sure it was fake leather.

I was shocked. This is a store on Madison Avenue and 51st street which is still a higher end retail area. When I brought them back to return them, I had a run in with two fat arab guys who claimed to be the owners. The refused to take them back! Even after admitting that, in fact, these bags were not leather.

I've filed complaints with the better business bureau. Also have heard very negative things about that store since.

STAY AWAY. It's a total scam.
