Due to unexpected medical need for my wife and myself we knew we were never going to keep up with our house payments. We inquired to a few Loan Modification businesses and chose LHLS because they seemed to come across as the one with credentials, Florida State Bar Assn. We were and still are worried about losing our home of 20+ years. It isn't like we we weren't in constant communication with the. all the while being told not to worry . Or we need this piece of information  , or that piece of information . even though we had completed everything time after time. A constant need to fax some thing  i.e. recent pay stub, bank statement, an updated hardship letter. Always something needed ASAP. During all this my wife has suffered a stroke and is still going through tests to see what the extent of nerve damage she is suffering. I had cancer  and was out of work during that time  for daily treatments was able to return to work with limited hours  ; for only 5 months when i ended up back in the hospital for major back surgery. We are both disabled and have a small fixed income. Where do we turn now? What happened to the billions of dollars bailout money. We need help desperately our furnace stopped working and it gets mighty cold here in Michigan that is just one of the home repairs we can't afford to do. we can't make mortgage payments we owe more than the home is valued at now. we never had any credit card debt, just extremely high medical bills. Company insurance covered some but what was left over is unbelievable.
