I used the LegalZoom services in 2012.  Now, in 2015 I suddenly get a $159 fee charged to my card without notice and for a service that has been dissolved for months now.  I've read a lot of other reports against LegalZoom for the same thing.  You can't just charge people without authorization and 3 years down the road without notice.

I will be contacting their support first thing Monday as of course their support isn't in on the weekends (but I bet they'd be there to take an order!).  I am hoping they will reslove the problem by issuing a total refund of the unauthorized charges.  Like most working people, I don't have time to go chasing down crap like this just to get my money back.  I will be disputing the charges if they do not refund my account, but the damage is already done and I'll never use their services again.

UPDATE: More charges after Cancel

As if it wasn't bad enough that this company charges you a yearly fee without making it clear on their website.  I called and spoke with customer service and had my services cancelled.  They said I would not be billed anymore.  I was charged again later that SAME DAY.

I am now having to dispute the charges through my card company as LegalZoom refused to issue the refund.

The only reason I choose to do business with LegalZoom was to save myself some time.  But with all of the time I've spent trying to get the unauthorized charges refunded, I ended up not saving any time at all.

Certainly not worth the hassle and I'll NEVER do business with them again.

I have since spoke with LegalZoom customer service and the issues seems to be from an accounting error.  It should be fixed now.
