I recieved a notice from my bank yesterday that a charge from Leisure Plus for $8.95 had almost cost me a NSF charge. I called my bank and informed them that I had never heard of Leisure Plus and had not authorized them to take any money from my account. My bank, WAMU, gave me a phone number and told me to call Leisure Plus.
Imagine my surprise when a Leisure Plus supervisor informed me they had been taking monthly payments from my account since January, 2003. Their company policy only allows me a six month refund. I informed the supervisor that I had never used their services and I wanted a full refund. So far no luck.
I filed a fraud report with my bank who also claim that I can't get a full refund since I didn't report it soon enough. I found out about it yesterday and filed the report today. I also filed a report with the FTC today.
I contacted the BBB, but the phone number and the name Leisure Plus didn't pull up anything. So I called Leisure Plus again and asked for an address to file a written complait to get my refund. I got a different Company name and an address in Plano, TX., so I contacted the BBB in Texas. With the original phone number and the new company name ie... Stonebridge, the BBB told me that Leisure Plus and Stonebridge were both under the parent company Aegon.
Then I found Ripoff Report. There are ripoff reports on Leisure Plus, Stonebridge and Aegon. Did anyone know they are all owned by Aegon? All I know is they have $600. of my money and I want it back. All of it!
