Lennar Homes - Village Builders ripoff Lied To Us Houston Texas

We bought a home from Village Builders in the Memorial Creek Estates Subdivision in Spring, Texas. At our pre-construction meeting we requested that our electrical lines be moved around, not through, our backyard as we were planning to add a pool after closing. Robert, the building supervisor, agreed to this request and in fact, stated that it would be easy to accomplish.

During construction, it appeared to us that the electrical lines were run through the property instead of around the property. We noted this on a customer concern form. Robert said he would inspect this issue and reroute the lines if necessary.

During our first warranty visit, 10 months after we closed (we were supposed to have a warranty visit 30 days after closing), we once again shared our concern about the electrical lines. The Village Builders warranty representative, Rodney McDonald, agreed to have the lines marked to find out if they were truly run through the property.

Unfortunately, Mr. McDonald then decided our pool company should have the lines marked. As we wanted to find out and did not want to debate the issue, we had the lines marked. They were run through the property as we suspected.

Now, Village Builders has told us they will not honor their agreement with us and in fact, now say their building supervisor "miscommunicated" as they do not get homes pool ready.

We have filed with the BBB and we are investigating mediation, however, Village Builders lied to us and may lie to other customers in the future.
