Lens Crafters They hire you for their sale and then call you out of work every day salem, New Hampshire

I recently got hired @ Lens Crafters in Salem NH next to K-Mart.  I was told I would make 9.00 until I was trained and would subsequently make comission as well.I loved the store and the environment and came for orientation.  I never got trained.  Instead I was put on the floor immediately and since they were have a 50% sale the store was packed.  I literally never got off my feet once.  I helped people select the perfect glasses, tole them about sales, got them signed in etc.  Days turned into weeks and I was still at 9.00 an hour.  I did all the work to get people with glasses they loved.  I learnd the different types of glasses and what went with certain prescriptions.  I took pictures and ran up small purchases.  I was patient.  I guess I was pretty trusting and naive.  I spent more in clothing for thier dress code (black pants,  black,tan,grey or white top)  than I made. 

Two weeks into my training (after I purchased several new appropriate work clothes they changed it to all black) After the sale was finaly over and there was a little breathing room I was told I would get training that day.  I was excited and happy my hard work would finally pay off.  Instead I was sent home early. Basically I was called out ever since.  I have come the the very sad and disheartening conclusion that I was used to make the company lots and lots of money during the sale and now I am out of work. Live and learn.  I worked every weekend,  stayed ex tra when I was asked and got numerous compliments from customers.  I read complants about other employees having hours cutto next to nothing and the company is all about their bottom line in making profits.  I did not want to belive this was true.  But I know I was totally expendable.  It seems Walmart is always busy.  Lens Crafters needs to realize if you treat people badly it will come back around.  Well back to looking for another job
