I paid Levy group 45,000 up front to do a 4 day shoot for a TV pilot with another 22,500 due before editing & the remainder to be paid 30 days after the video was done. First, on day one of shooting their sound engineer who's been working for them for 10 years didn't record the entire commercial. Now remember I don't find this out until the whole shoot is done but we'll get to this later. The lighting in a lot of shots was very bad. They didn't do a lot of pick me up shots on 2 days of filming because they had a lack of communication between camera men. So, we get to editing & they won't let me see any of the footage or start editing until the next 22,500 is paid. I pay it & they give me a 10 day editing turn around. 45 days later I'm complaining where is my TV pilot etc. 2 weeks later they have it done. They used many video clips from shutter stock, can you beleive that & the thing looks like it's done in the eighties. So, I say I'm not happy & they say well we can reedit it but we'll have to charge.I'm thinking to myself ok let's just get the footage & get it to an editor in LA. So, I say no that's ok just give me the master tapes. They say ok come back in 2 days & they'll be ready for me. I come back & there not ready. A week later they say they can't give me the masters until I pay the remaining balance 22,500.00 even though the contract says 30 day net. So, at this point I call mt lawyer. After 2 months & a 3k legal bill I get the tapes & I paid the 22,500.00. After watching the tapes my production team that I hired to edit it tells me the whole first day of shooting is trash because the soung guy didn't record any sound. Levy Production Group has nice offices & decent equipment but there work is horrible & they're completely unethical. They also told me about other clients which I found strange. They bragged about having Adam Cutler as a big client he's a local accident attorney in Las Vegas & complained that he was a pain in the butt & had a coke problem. Why on earth they were telling me this is beyond me. If you're doing any production in Vegas skip these guys.
