Lexmark Printers Wants $119. to fix a printer problem they caused Internet
I bought this prospect multfunction lexmark printer, and had it replaced due to defective hardware and software. Now there is a problem with the Lexmark upgrade to operate with he IE11 software update by Microsoft for Windows 7 that just came out. Lexmark did not upgrade their software, and throughout their fleet of printers, the printing has stopped. The Lexmark site has a work around, but that does not work either. I called Lexmark technical support, and was told that I would have to pay them $119.
to make it work, as Lexmark will not support IE11, and the only way to make the printer work is to pay them. This cost is more that a new printer. I will not pay it, and I will throw out the now useless Lexmark brick that is in my office as well as my employees, and replace them with an HP or another printer brand that does not have this problem. This is not what I would call acceptable customer service. Paying for their screw up is totally unacceptable. Buyer beware! I will never buy Lexmark products again
