I will say as I please...

 lia sophia is an immensely rip off type of business that misuses and abuses their power to swindle the consumers with overpriced jewelry. I witnessed and experienced first-handedly as a consumer attending a simply jewellery party hosted by a friend of mine and a lia sophia representative was present trying to convince every day individuals, such as you and I, into making a purchase. Of course, the jewellery ware very pretty and women, young and old alike, often fall into the trap of marketing schemes when it comes to clothing and accessories.

Believe me, lia sophia is not particularly cheap accessories. The price ranges from 12 dollars to a whooping 160 dollars simply for either necklace, a bracelet, a ring, an anklet, or earrings.

I understand that the more you pay, the better the quality. You get for what you pay for. However, I feel that lia sophia is very much underpar when it comes to competing with real jewellery companies such as Kay, Pandora, etc.

I was swindled, of course, and I fell into the schemes of marketing. I was also put into a position where if I hosted a party, I would get a 50-80% discount from the jewellery if I had 10 people attend and at least 2 individuals purchase jewelry during the event, if I hosted.

First of all, the representative was very pushy, because she insisted I gather 10 individuals present for the party. Although, I could not gather 10 individuals because most of my friends are just not interested in pricey jewels, or rather overpriced jewels, at the moment. Thus, I had to inform the representative that I could not gather 10 individuals. She persisted to tell me it would benefit me more if I could gather 10 individuals and she asked for me to postpone my date. I did as I was suggested to despite the fact I was reluctant to do so because I knew that whether the date changed, the answers would still remain the same from my friends. Yes, I was correct. My friends did not need a date change, they simply were not interested at the moment.

So, I came back to the representative another time and told her my friends were not looking for the moment, but she continued to say allow them to come to the event, and I am certain I can change their minds. I never leave a party without selling at least one jewel. - It just goes to show how persistent she is, despite the fact it is her job to sell, she came off rather rude and insensitive to think when someone says no the first time, a second no is not going to change. I decided to call it quits because I found it quite unprofessional on her part to continue to push me to gather 10 individuals when I could only gather up to 4 individuals and no further. I knew that 10 individuals was not going to happen. 

Ultimately, the conversation was a back and forth text spree between myself and the representative from lia sophia i was dealing with. She then started to say 'I don't believe how you could tell your friends about my work. That is my job to sell and convince. All I wanted was for you to gather 10 individuals so it would benefit you. The more people, the more chances of them purchasing and you could get your 50-80% discount' Okay, the only reason as to why I said to my friends that a seller was going to be present trying to sell jewels is simply because that's what a jewellery party is all about. I had to be straight and honest with my friends because as a host that is my responsiblity to tell my guests what the party is for or what is the party is about. 

I wanted out from the deal I made initially because I could not fulfill that deal on my end. It was not like I did not want to try, I did try and I tried very hard to convince my friends to come just for the food I was going to serve and not making them have any obligations to purchase. I just wanted them to be present for the food alone, and gather 10 individuals that way.

When I asked to cancel entirely with my represetative, she clearly said, "Cancelling is not an option. You must have this party even if it means postponing." - How pushy is this comment? 

When I filed for a complaint against my representative to the lia sophia HR, the HR were very rude to me as well. They did not seem to care about my complaint and simply continued to ask me questions rather than apologize for my frustrations. They did not seem to have any sense of sympathy for the situation I was placed under with the representative I dealt with from lia sophia.

Of course, with persistence on my end as a consumer, and the fact that I complained and said, "Customer satisfaction is key to any business that is running.", the HR submitted and agreed to help me cancel the party since I could not cancel with dealing with the representative. Ultimately, the job got done, and HR got to convince the representative to cancel my event entirely. Although, with one final blow, here is what the representative wrote out to me boasting about her so-called reputation and her successes thus far with lia sophia: 

"It was very unfortunate that you had to contact lia sophia customer service in order to get clarification regarding your obligation. I would have been more than willing to work out something very fair with you as I really like you as a person... I feel as though we had a nice working relationship and never once was I ever pushy or demanding or trapping you. I wanted to help you have the party that you were so excited to have. You booked a date in my calendar. You wanted me in your home. I was simply explaining company policy. No one ever said you had to have 10 people I was more than willing to do a small intimate gathering for you. This is a full time business for me that I take very seriously. If I was not clear I truly apologize. My reputation with lia sophia is very strong and I am their top seller in the entire nation. So therefore I do not appreciate false accusations of my demeanor." 

Clearly, I only booked a date thinking I could gather enough friends to attend, but it was not stated clearly to have 10 individuals in order to receive a discount. Also, if I cannot follow through with the booking, I am allowed to cancel. I should not be stopped to cancel. 

Secondly, she is boasting she is the top seller of lia sophia in the entire nation, which I highly doubt because she can talk so lowly to her consumers for not being able to cancel. She is fabricating the story and thus accusing me that I am a liar, when in actuality, I am the consumer trying to work an agreement and trying to make it easier on myself when I can or cannot make an agreement.
