This system is a total scam. It takes ENERGY to break down water into oxygen and hydrogen. That electrical energy comes from the battery which in turn gets it from the alternator or generator.

The alternator or generator becomes very hard to turn when you require it to make electrical energy. That work energy in turn comes from the engine which gets its energy from the gas it burns.

In every step of these conversions there are loses usually of about 3 to 5 percent per step. The generator creates some heat when it works. The electrolysis creates some heat. These heat loses did nothing to move your car down the road. But you paid for the gasoline that was the original source of that energy.

For the small component of hydrogen inserted for burning with it's probable 15% loss of production, the end result is that you get only 98 to 99% use of your gasoline for moving the car which is your real objective.

One would have to ask the question as to why water4gas doesn't make a system 10 to 20 times as large as they do to insert a higher percentage of hydrogen into the burn mix. The answer is that the user would definitely see the overall reduction in "purchased gasoline" mileage.

The only way to make hydrogen assist work is to have an cheap external source of energy to make the hydrogen.

That is what they are doing in Scandinavia. Look for "Norway opens hydrogen highway".
Free geothermal allows the production of very cheap electricity and therefore relatively cheap hydrogen to put into tanks in the cars.

I also tried the "water4gas" program as an experiment. Their design DOES NOT work, they don't produce enough hydrogen to make any difference. Not only that, he is using an '80s model carbureted 4 cylinder car for his experiments. Not many of those left around!
You can google "smack's" for another design that looks more promising. It's design and instructions are FREE...they're not in it for the money. There is also a user group on Yahoo where a lot of ideas are discussed. I plan on experimenting with it more in the near future.
Keep in mind that when you do experimentation with these ideas, you need to have above average knowledge of emission control systems as you'll be modifying them to get the mileage you are shooting for.
