If you have a Liberty Mutual homeowners insurance policy...CANCEL IT NOW. Here is MY true horror story.  I owned my home for 16 years. It wasn't a big or expensive home. I bought it when I was 22 years old.  i hade about $200,000 of insurance coverage. i raised my 2 children there and put everything I ever earned into my house..and then i lost EVERYTHING after someone burglarized my home and then burned it to the ground while I was out of town for one week. I lost everything I ever owned, everything my kids made at school, ecery piece of clothing, I MEAN EVERYTHING! Including $50k in equity I had in my house. Thankfully,I was not home or my son and I would be dead.That was 4 and a half years ago.  LIBERTY MUTUAL DID NOT PAY A CENT!  They left me and my son homeless with nothing, but the clothes on our backs. They paid NOTHINO!  Investigated me, called everyone I had ever known, put me through hell. And I provided them 4 yrs of tax returns, financial information, phone records, bank statements, gave them statement under oath. I did everything they asked me to do and gave them evertything they asked for and how did Liberty Mutual respond? THEY DENIED MY CLAIM FOR...(wait for it)....LACK OF COOPERATION!  No joke. It took two lawyers, a lawsuit, and four and a have years before they finally settled.  but still got screwed. What they paid was not even half of what lost and their treatment was dispicable. i always paid my mortgage, insurance premiums, etc. WARNING! THIS COULD HAPPEN TO YOU TOO
