I was on a car consumer website, and took interest in a 2001 Jetta GLS.  I opted to have the a follow up email from the dealership with additional information.  Shortly after I had an email from a woman named Denise.  She contactd me on a Monday and said to come in and take a look because it was worth it.  I couldnt make it so she then proceeded to call me tuesday 2 times saying I should really take a look at it and that the price had dropped.  I couldnt make it Tuesday but I could wendesday.  She wasnt there that wendesday.

I decided to make the hour trip to go up and look at, since she really made it seem it was worth it.  I was dealing with a woman named Amanda on wednesday since Denise was not there.  Amanda said that she had my paper work and she knew I was coming in.  My GPS failed on the way there, so I called Liccardi Ford dealership for directions.  Need less to say the woman didnt even know the exit on the GSP for me to get off at.  Well with her GREAT directions I got lost for another half hour in rush hour traffic.

I finally get to the dealership, to then not be approached by ANY salesteam memeber for about 20 minutes.  I was in the show room where they all were.... Finanlly a man approaches me to then walk away for another 10 minutes.  He then comes with a key and says the cars on the lot and then walks away.  I then had to go on the lot and find the car!!!  After finanlly finding it I examined the car.  Besides the broken front grill, the missing emblem from the hub-cap and the glued on doorhandle, I still decided to give it a chance.  I am in desperate need of a vehicle.

I then start the car to hear a loud ticking noise.  I couldnt test drive it because no salesperson wasnt near me to assist me with plates or answer my questions.  A nearby sales man saw my distress and got the plates.  I took it for a test drive and it still made this loud ticking noise which conerned me.  Also the check engine light was on.  When I got back to the dealership I asked for the car fax.  I also asked what that noise was for the guy to tell me he didnt know but that they think its the turbo.  I proceeded to tell him that my boyfriend has a turbo deisel truck and its not nearly as loud as the Jetta.  I asked when the timing belt was last replaced for him to tell me he didnt know.

He then got his manager and he then tried assuring me it was done.  I then said Jettas are supposed to have there timing belt changed at intervals of 90,000 miles.  The Jetta hadnt of even reached 87,000.  Why would it of needed to be changed any sooner?  The guy couldnt give me an answer.  I then asked about the catalytic converter which is coming going on used vehicles.  He didnt know that either.  I found it quite commical that they have painted on the side of there building "Quality checked".  How thourogh can it be if the common questions cant be answered.

I then asked about the grill the emblem and the glued door, for him to answer its a 2001 what do you expect.  I was completely appalled because I know many people who have cars older then that and better maintained.  I then said I would like to have this car checked by a mechanic in which they hesistated to then say sure we dont have a problem with that.  I then left and said I'd be back the following day.

Overall I feel as though I wasnt purchasing a new 2012 vehicle,  I was put on the back burner.  They knew I was coming in and I wasnt made a priority what so ever.  I feel as the the sales experts were not knowledgeable on the vehicles they are trying to sell.  I also feel as though since I was a girl they treated me like I didnt know anything about cars.  They were sadly mistaken.  I am not going to waste my time driving an hour to be treated so poorly.  This is an emabbarrasment to the FORD name.

Dont waste your time going here, like I did, because chances are they will just con you into buying a piece of junk that will probably hit problems in the future.
