Further to my last report on the deceptive practices of LifeCell, I looked them on the Better Business Bureau. Please read the full report as BBB has them rated an F and with a complete warning alert to consumers.

BBB also required LifeCell to discontinue using "free trial" and that is why LC now just says "downpayment on trial." Also the fact that charges are in fine print under credit card info.

BBB is also requiring them to back up with true facts they make about their products.

Very interesting report and also helpful info BBB gives consumers on how to protect themselves from scams like this. Unfortunately the scammers know how to word things to skirt the law and we have no protection.

Yes, the company has removed all charges and I refused the package as they had instructed me to do for it to be returned to them.

And yes, the BBB has given them an F Rating and posted an alert for the public - you can read it on their site. I did tell BBB they had removed the charge for me.


And no, the information about charging you immediately is not up front on their ad but where you put credit card info in. One of their employees said it was in bold but it is not. You do not even see this until you check out and it is a lengthy, wordy paragraph and is buried inside. Laws should be passed where companies have to clearly publish this information up front and not bury it as  a large percentage of the public fail to read as I did - my fault.

Some of what the consumer is saying is not true. On our site, there is no such phrase "downpayment"? Also, the trial terms are listed and billing prior to payment processing. This consumer also contacted the BBB and concluded her claim there as well as called into customer service and resolved her issue. 


I will be pasting her conclusion from the BBB along with our trial terms for better comprehension.
