Lighthouse financial dropped the ball on this one!! Someone did not process my payment on time. One night to my surprise a tow truck hooked up to my car and was about to tow it, I ran out and asked what was going on and the rudest man ever said if you paid your bill on time maybe this would not be happening. after calling me a loser and so on, away he went with my car. I had told him I did make my payment on time and had the money order reciept to prove it. He did not listen, the next morning after missing finanals at my college because I had no vehicle I called Lighthouse financial and after investegation the rep said oh we are so sorry we have your payment right here it was received just not processed. The rep apoloigized and called the tow company while I was on the line and had my vehicle brought back to me. My reason for writing this is because they still charged me with the repo fees and past due and late payment fees totally 600.00. We called and explained the situation only to have the rep tell us there was nothing they could do we just had to eat the fees, we said we wanted to talk to someone higher up. We were given a phone number to call to complain, only all you could do is leave a message, so we did, we waited for two days no reply and we called again left another message! after two weeks of this and more threats because we had not paid the fees we gave in and paid it off we felt as if our hands were tied because after all they had the title to our car and obviously can repo it with no warning. We really want consumers to be aware because this is no way for a reputable company to act!!!!!

#4 Consumer Suggestion

Take them to court!

AUTHOR: Vanessa - (U.S.A.)

The is just wrong, and yes, you paid the "ffes" under duress. I suggest you take them to small claims court. May cost a few dollars, and take some time, but in the end at least you will know you did something!

This company charges 180% interest! Predatory lending!
