I purchased 2 SVP Digital Camera's from Linda's Camera World (eBay seller) last November. Since day 1, my camera has not worked properly. The second camera I purchased and resold to a friend is also non-functioning. I have contacted bot Linda's Camera World and SVP ( a California company) and have received NO response. I am in the process of contacting the Consumer Protection division of both state attorney generals to pursue this issue to the fullest extent allowed by law and will be reporting fraudulent business practices to both offices. I will also be reporting this to eBay.

Linda's Camera World does not have a Yellow Page listing and SVP has failed to respond to numerous emails and written requests for help.

Buyer admits he was '...upset when I filed on this forum...' and follows up admiting he lied on this complaint. Will the Rip-Off report remove it?

Buyer just stated above: '...I did received information from Linda's Camera World about how to deal with this company (SVP) but after non-responses (emails & UPSP delivered letters)from them (SVP), I needed to do / say something to resolve my issues...'

So what he did was post lies because he was having trouble contacting SVP. He justifies this by saying '...I needed to do / say something to resolve my issues...'

We request the Rip-Off report remove this complaint immediately, as it contains liable remarks posted in anger to purposely tell untruths. If they dont remove it, we will include them in our civil suit we are pursuing against this buyer.

If the buyer is having trouble contacting SVP as he claimed above, he should not email them, nor should he mail letters to them. He should give them a call at the phone numbers I posted above in my last response.

Awaiting Repair / Replacement of Defective Camera

Literally, the day I registered my complaint, I was finally able to speak with a representative of SVP, and the camera(s) have been returned to them for repair/replacement. Although they appear to be taking care of the problem, I have not received any word from them (I have emailed SVP and asked for confirmation of receipt of the defective product) concerning the time frame required to get it back to me.

I was obviously upset when I filed on this forum, but after nearly a year of essentially non-responsiveness, I aired my complaints here. I have lost nearly 100-200 family pictures as a result of a defective product. Those family moments and the pictures lost can never be replaced.

I did received information from Linda's Camera World about how to deal with this company (SVP) but after non-responses (emails & UPSP delivered letters)from them (SVP), I needed to do / say something to resolve my issues.

Since day one (1), I have had nothing but problems with my camera and they continue today. The camera manufacturer has been of absolutely NO help and I am constantly losing family pictures (if I can even get the camera to take a decent picture). Yesterday, and in the past, it appears that the person(s) I am trying to take a picture of are in motion.

I need to try and locate my receipt (I'm sure I have a copy of my eBay receipt). I'd like to return the camera to the manufacturer for repair. I am quite tired of losing those once in a life time pictures of my grandkids.

For the 1st time in 6-9 months, I was able to speak with someone at SVP. At a cost ($9.99+$.50 shipping costs), my camera is on it's way back to SVP. The second camera may have already been disposed of as it quit working within 2-3 months of purchase. I have sent my friend the RMA # issued by SVP in hopes that maybe they will find the camera and just it fixed / replaced.

Should you have any questions, plz don't hesitate to contact me. As I pointed out in an earlier email, you may wish to do a search (Google I think) on "Linda's Camera World". There is tremendous negative information about your company.
