I am currently a team driver with my husband for link america and this notice is for drivers that are looking to see how one that is working for them are doing.
In the begining it was ok though they ran us hard the would give loads that had no margin for error on time with back hauls giving just enough time to get there with maybe a 1 hr to spare no time to stop to get a bath or to eat.

Then when we complain that there was'nt enough time so that we could stop to eat our driver manage said that we could eat cold sandwichs. This is fine for lunch, but my problem is that I am a type 2 diabiate and need to have a fairly balance diet with fruit veggies so forth and when I said that it was paramount to my health they cut our miles so bad that now we are look for a place that will work with my medical condition.
This company is also doing bad things to owner op as will, talk to one just last week that is being jerk around by low miles.A company driver said miles where low and a lot of waiting time as will.

I just wish that any person working for link america and its other company would get organizined and do a slow down until they see that what they r doing is wrong and need to change there game plan.

As for pay the comment of the other driver is true we have had so many days layedover on the road that you can afford to take home time and they do not pay any lay over pay as they had said in orentation. As for pay they are now 2 weeks in the rear of our pay there reason for this was that they need to get every on the same pay dates, we where on the same day of pay was every friday now it is 2 weeks later.

They are also on cash pay to T/A for all repairs to truck. Just recently our A/C went out and I drove for 3hrs in 90 degree times inside the cab and my husband was trying and I do say trying to sleep in the bunk with over 100 degree temps.

I stop for fuel @ T/A call breakdown and they tryed to tell me that these repairs where only going to be done @ one of there yards I inform them that it was the law that they need to fix it.

Really wonder why I need to be the bad one when they should of just gave aurthrization for repairs.
Link America is just not a good company to work for.
Personaly I feel there won't be a Link America much longer with them having to playing with drivers pay.
Also on a cash pay for repairs for there truck.

How unfortunate a company that claims to make 600 million dollars a year can't even get credit to pay for tires for their trucks.
This company has one heck of a roll over on drivers. They don't care about their drivers and will cheat them out of money.
Payroll and Safety are the ones that make the decisons whether a driver gets paid for detention time, or lay over. And I promise you although dispatch will tell you they will pay it THEY DON'T!!!!!
At Christmas time we were suppose to get paid on Fri, when we go to the bank to pay our bills they had not deposited our money. They waited until the following week, and did the same thing New Years. We were late with all of our bills causing us to make late charges because of them.
They have cut the o/o pay down to 85 cents per short miles, although they charge practical miles. They are not giving 100% of the fuel surcharge they get to the o/o either. Although they pay NOTHING for fuel!!!!!!!!!!
Detention time they are charging after the first hour $75.00 and in some cases $200.00 as I was told by one receiver. I tell them I have only been at a place for 59 minutes as they ask every time I deliver a load or pick up one.
Payroll lies lies lies lies and will tell you they make the decisions on what gets paid. How these people sleep at night with a clear conscious is beyond me.
A team gets paid for 1600 miles a week. Sometimes a team will get more but rarely.
They EXPECT free labor and will get it!!!!!!!!

I have nothing good to say about this company, I don't advise anyone to work for them. They have said they will pay for something and just turn in the receipt and come time to be reimbursed, they don't pay it but keep the receipt for their tax deductions. Must be nice having an employee pay for something and they get to deduct it.
And, yes they now pay every two weeks, and with the o/o they are keeping back trips even beyond that.
It is against the Federal Lease Law for a company to keep payment from an owner operator past 15 days of delivery. And, this includes when a load has been delivered in their yard for later delivery. As long as a driver was told by dispatch to drop it that is considered delivery. They have breached their very own contract in every way. But the drivers cannot afford an attorney because they are lucky to get a check more then $800.00 a wk, this includes teams.
This company is so pathetic they have singles taking team loads and yes force them to run over hours then require them to log it legal. That is their policy. A super single.
I know of a single driver that drove from Dallas to Denver, delivered the load, they made this person go pick up a load from someone else and deliver it, then take a load to Des Moines that needed to be there the next day. Happens all the time with them.
They don't pay for anything although the recruiters will say they do, I was told by one recruiter that a contract is only as good as the person writing it. With this company that is more then true. They don't honor their own contracts but break them and do what they want to cheat people out of hard earned money.
Don't work for this company and tell everyone you know to stay away from it and from the other companies. Washita, Lane, Brooks, DGI.....
I have proof of what I say and more that I won't put down that they have done.

Company started with oil money. Their veteran trucking hands came from CRST - 'nuff said.
