Linkworld Rebate Ripoff Brea California

last November, Fry's Electronics had a Thanksgiving holiday sale in which some Linkworld Power Supply was priced at $27 before a $27 rebate.

I bought one unit, mailed everything they asked for (sales receipt, UPC, rebate receipt). They justmailed me a letter denying my rebate because I didn't not send them copy of the sales receipt. I contacted them via email, they insisted the same thing, no sales receipt, no rebate. It's hard to argue because they could have thrown away my sales receipt. Who is to believe? I admit that I'm a rebate junkie. I've filed "hundreds" of rebate claims in the past with other companies, I hardly could miss anything that was required. I got cheated a few times, too. But hey, it's the risk to take to save money or to get a good deal.

Anyway, my brother-in-law called me this evening, he got the same deny letter from Linkworld. We all screamed "**** Linkworld, they rip us off."

I already filed a complaint with Better Business Bureau and I was thinking of filing a claim with small claim court in Orange County of Southern California but it cost $22 to file a claim, plus the time and gas to drive down there. Two bucks a gallon for regular unleaded. Is it worth the time? I guess not. My brother, he's a Christian, told me at the end of our phone conversattion "Let go let God..."
$27 can't make me any richer or poorer, I'm filing this report to alert people about Linkworld and small companies like them with their dishonest business practice.
