 My family resently had the misfortune to do bussiness with, Devin Little of Little's landscape and design, of chino valley az. My mother and I both being disabled and having resently lost my father her husband to suicide. my father was a desent hard working, honset contractor for over thirty years. Mr little is not like my father. my father while not perfect being human, still strove for the best in his conduct and his services to his customers. mr. little does not, he seems to go on the feeling of what can you prove, and what can you make stick. if you can not meet these requirments you are out of luck with devin little.

The following is an short account of my family's interaction with Mr. Little (devin) and his employees and following a few of my feelings and etc about what happened. I think of my self as a reasonable, balanced person for the best part. I have those things like everyone one, on which i could improve. On my word of honor the followings to the best of my ablity is fully true. It does no good to lie and mindlessly trash someone, what one does and puts out, does and i have seen it come back at you. In Mr. Little case I hope so. One does not even have to have a religoius bent to one to know and believe this.

we hired mr. devin little to do some landscaping, lawn care, sprinklers, drip system, etc. we have had issues with persons not being licensed contractors with whom we have had issues. So we decided to do things right do some reserch, ask around and hired someone with a name, a company who was licensed bonded and insured, who would we hoped would care about his name and that of his company. In so being we might have more protection from various assorted b.s. which comes with hiring someone. always do your homework, or you may get schooled by someone, screwed and with devin little we did everything we thought correctly, but still we went through hell with devin. I guess no system is perfect, i am doing this report to hopefully save someone else from devin's lawlessness or someone of his like. It is too late for my mother and I, we are in the recovery stage now.

devin started out ok, he was impressive, i think my mother saw a bit of my father in devin, when he was a young contractor, like devin. oh boy as it went on, we found that he was nothing like my father, he is; I have found to be dishonset, a lair etc. In affect if you shake hands with devin little have an acounant handy to tally up your fingers. also when he speaks with you make sure you ask him to remove his sunglasses. I think he uses this as a way of looking imposing, or intimdating, or to help hide the fact that he may be letting  untruths. we started out liking devin little very much, he comes across as a hard working no bullshit tough guy. who believes in god, country, family, and a little bit of apple pie. A found myself along with my mother, thinking we were in good hands, gees you really want to like the guy.

my mother hired him at 15.00 dollars an hour. devin said a mostly get 30.00 dollars instead. my mother a former career woman, and a fool by no means, she has been around the block a few times, said no i can not afford that. Devin replyed well I usually bit projects out, otherwise. She said you will not be doing that here, it 15.00 or nothing. devin finally to our horror much later agreed, with a big all american smile, he's good i guess most crooks and cons are.

as i have said before he started out very good, we know of his father at chino valley heating and cooling. we both along with my father liked devin's father, but devin is nothing, i have found like his father. the work he did seemed to a first be very good, things were going good we thought, then devin said mam i need some help with this work load, it will get done much quicker if i have some help, saving you money in the end. my mother being at the time impressed went back and hired another of devin's workers to help him at 15.00 an hour so in the end he go his 30.00 n hour. It was mostly a worker named Marcus, he seem to be a fair and honset guy, i liked him very much. but what do i know i was fooled along with my mother about devin. To be fair I do not know what if anything marcus knows about devin's b.s. with homeowners/customers. I hope I am right about marcus, many times he seems to not like Devin, they seem to have a falling out every so often. if it was not marcus helping devin, it was a young man named mike, he seemed to just be a labor.

at one point i am not sure when totally, devin started not showing up for work and not returning phone calls or texts. when we would finally get ahold of him he would make promises of making it up to us, and doing better in the future. He did not keep his word, he only became more and more unrelyable and unstable. At one point he left us with no way to water my mothers two and half acres of trees, plants etc. this went on for a week, finally we got him to return our calls. he said i dont have time to mess with all of your demands calls and texting, just hang tight, it will be ok. devin sweet all-american demeener was changing to that a very hot tempered verbly aggressive young man. my father was i m sure turning over in his grave, at the treatment of my mother by devin. i like all good sons, am very protective of my mother, more than once i had to talk with devin, and line him out. he would change him tone when dealing with me. He must feel he can get away with this b.s. with a woman. i would say i need you to get going and finish thing up, devin, now, to fix this correct that. all the while i maintained a kind but direct demeer. in the end he would make promises that he never kept. In effect blowing me off totally. all the while devins attitude became worse, worse to the point where my mother didnot feel comfortable with dealing with devin. One day devin said we need to change the terms of the contract, you must allow me to bit out the remaining work, this is not good bussiness for me. my mother and i stated that was unethical to try and change term of a contract in mid-stream. Devin was not happy about this at all. we stated that we would hold him to the terms of the contract and to his given word.

also here i must say devin also kept saying that he needed more and more materials, soil, seed,  railroadties etc. the grass that he planted as of the writting, has yet to appear, he seeded it a lest three times. the extra materials the first couple of times my mother agreed to against her better judgement, just wanting to get things done, and done with mr. devin little altogether. very quickly the price of what devin said these various projects would cost jumped and jumped. we were becoming alarmed, devin at one point himself or one of his workers stepped on my mother's newly planted bushes, she bought from hsn. we are looking into if he was over charging us or over ordering to use material on another job, or for his personal use. mr. devin little maybe struggling to stay in bussiness, he seems to be puting out one fire after another with customer after customer, on his cell phone all the time. devin said that alot of his customers treat him as subhuman, i dont know the public can be very hard to deal with. maybe in devins case it is him alot of the time and not his customers. he did not seem to care, he was leaving trash, tools, holes and railties all over. I spoke with him as did my mother about keeping things in order, he said he would correct it, but he never did. when we start questioning this and that he was hard to get a hold of, or he was very unclear about this or that. We knew we were in trouble, then. devin kept coming up with this reason or that to dely finishing or fixing his work.

At the end devin showed up with yet another bunch of railroad ties, he called them. He was late agian by two hours, i think, saying he was having truck issues, and would be there soon. We thought this is bad, we need to finish this up, grin and bear it, make sure we kept our conduct in line, and just get him to finish, and fix the problems and get him the hell off the property. finally devin did show up with the rail ties and four other men in toe, and a hillbilly size attiude as well. I agreeded devin with a smile of good morning. hey devin when  your free a need to go over with you about somethings. Devin suddenly jump off the back of the truck with the ties. In the threatening tone he said that they(he) was finishied with this job and moving on. he said that he had his fill of us, calling him all the time, that he was (((REDACTED FOUL LANGUAGE)))

. I beleive that devin was trying to cause of physical conferetion with me, with the others threatening about me. iam disabled with M.S. iam still very strong and quick. but this is unthinkable we treated this man well all ways, paying him on time. and he pulls this, beware devin is very underhanded he is not what he seems. he was trying to set me up a believe. In the end we paied him in full of out standing balance we pay our debits. Then he was told to remove himself from the property. Later that day we filed a report of the event with the Yavapai sherriff's office. 

In closing devin did not complete even one project leaving them all in a state of disorder. The guy does bad work, he does not follow through with any thing i have seen. the man a think is emotional unable to run a bussiness and deal with customers in a correct manner. You never, and my father never picked a fight with a customer ever. if you want to stay in bussiness you have to have your head in the right place. Mr. little does not, have his head in the right place at all, he thinks he is a tough guy who deals out his brand of jusice, if you piss him off by demanding that he do the work as contracted.

  To the reader of this report, you have been warned, i would not wish this guy on my worse enemy. I dont have any that i am aware of, except for maybe Devin Little, after writting this report. i would never hire him again, stay away from this guy, i think he is a punk. He would I think be better suited to flipping burgers or making Tacos and taco bell.

p.s. i wish it did not turn out this way, my mother does to, but it is on devin, things went bad because of him. devin has to live with it.
