My name is Valerie, I'm a surviving spouse of a Viet-Nam Veteran. After my husband passed away in 2003, Litton Loan Servicing Co. has ruined my credit, put me in debt and has foreclosed on my home. My home is scheduled to be auctioned off this Friday.

This all started in June 2004. Litton had bought my loan from Washington Mutual Mortgage Co. After they purchased the loan they started debiting my bank account twice a month for 6 months for two house payments a month. When the second attempt was returned for NSF they would charge me NSF fees and late charges. I tried to talk to this company, I sent them proof of what they were doing, even letters from my bank stating that there company was trying to collect double payments a month. Litton just ignored me. So I went and seen a lawyer. We sat and went through my documents and Litton's documents for 41/2 hours and she could not figure out where their accounting came from. We sent them a certified letter requesting them to explain their fees and their escrow account that I didn't have. Litton just ignored this letter, never giving any explanation of any sort!

Then in October2004 Litton even stopped crediting my payments to my account all together. I again sent them proof that they had received and cashed my payments. Again no response. So in December2004 I quit making my payments, closed out that bank account and thought they would have to deal with me now. Well I was wrong. All Litton did was start foreclosure proceedings.

So since I do not have the finances to hire an attorney to fight them, i started a short sale on my property. I owe $104,000.00, the investor offered $95,000.00. Litton then had my property appraised. It came back that my property is worth $150,0000.00. Litton then denied their offer and stated that they would not accept any less than $125,000.00. So my property is scheduled to be auctioned off July 29,2005.

I just don't understand! This has to be illegal!! Now I don't know where my 9 year old son and myself are going to do. I have no funds to relocate or the credit to even rent another home.
