Lk's Auto Repair Ink. told that work was under warranty then told it's not once the car was in their shop Bremerton Washington

About a year ago my mom (who is 80 years old) took her Ford, Taurus X to LK's auto repair to have the transmision looked

at, they told her that the transmission needed to be replaced at a price of $6000.00. She said ok and the transmission was

replaced, just recently transmission fluid started leaking from the PTU (power take off unit) a gear box on the transmission

that turns the rearend and what makes the front wheel drive car all wheel drive.

She calls the shop that replaced the transmission, they told her to bring it in so they could look at it, after looking at it they

tell her that it is still under warranty and won't cost her anything. then it was about a month before they finally tell her to

bring the car in and they are going to give her a loan car, when she gets there, guess what; no loan car so they give her a

ride home. couple days later my niece needs the baby seat out of moms car and a call is made to LK's auto shop to tell them

that somebody will be by to pick up the car seat, this is when it comes out that the car is at the ford dealer in Tacoma.

It is about a 1 hour drive from where mom lives to LK's shop and an 1 1/2 hour drive from their shop in bremerton to the

ford dealer in Tacoma and a toll to cross the Tacoma narrows bridge. once at the ford dealer they look at the car and say

that the repair is not under warranty and send the car back to LK's in Bremerton. LK's calls mom and tells her she will have

to foot the bill and that they will work with her on the $300 to $400 bill mom says ok go ahead.

When she finally gets to go pick up her car they give her a bill that reads like so:

Sublet/Misc. $450.00

Shop supplies$25.50

Charges         $9.95

Sales Tax       $44.82

Repair Total $560.04

               -   $50.00

                   $510.04

For a repair that was free until they got the car.
