We had made a payment to lobel financial that was supposed to be $250.00 on an bank check, lobel financial took opportunity and took $508.00, 3/4 of our rent and now we are behind on our rent. Afterwards lobel financial came to my job after I had gone inside and repossessed our car. My wife had gathered all payments made and showed we are only $98.00 behind. Please Help, Sincerely James Cartier

Typical Sub-Prime borrower

AUTHOR: Robert - (USA)

POSTED: Monday, June 29, 2015

You are the typical sub-prime borrower who somehow thinks that they can blame everyone else for their issues.  This is exactly why you will continue to be a sub-prime borrower for many years to come.

First of all I will say that the only valid complaint you MAY have is if they took more than you authorized. However that would not have affected ANYTHING that had happened after that.

They only took an extra $258, because remember you admited you authorized the $250.  So unless your rent is only $344/month they did not take 75% of it.  However, if they had only taken $250 you still would have been short on your rent..just not by as much.

Next, you then complain that you are only $98 behind.  Well behind is behind whether it is $98, $9.80 or $980 you will find that they had the legal right to reposesses the car.  But then remember the extra $258 they took.  Well had they not taken that you not only would still not have been delinquent, but MORE delinquent.

Not sure what help you want, but the best advise is to see what you can work out with your landord and the finance company because being short on rent and having no car is a bad combination.   Just keep in mind that if you fail to pay on the car they can sell it at auction and come after you for the deficenty balance.
